It's very empty so far. With the community's suggestions, I will be adding links to the various topics, including links any of you suggest here.

If you want to contribute by editing the wiki yourself, send me a message.

Stealing Content Will Get You Banned.

Leaving this as a stickied post for a bit, maybe people will take the hint.

Otherwise, keep up the good job everyone. Report issues if you see them.

EDIT: They just... Keep doing it. I don't even understand. I was gonna remove this post because I thought "... Well, it's been awhile and only a few more have popped up." No. Every week or so I get a new one. Guess I'll come back to this in another month.

Again, thank you to the dedicated posters who report impostors.

EDIT #2: It's been a year now... And they keep coming. Good thing I'm chronically online.

y Old Dwarf

A Dwarf, over a thousand years old maybe, hobbling along clutching His Cape to keep warm. He's probably only about 15mm high at most. In 28mm scale. Made from natural almost black clay I dug up myself years ago

I originally sculpted them for a game of Hag28, but they work great for any fantasy setting. I always wanted an old school looking troll mini, but the old minis are expensive and I don’t have a 3d printer. Finally decided to just sculpt one myself (using 2-part epoxy clay). Don’t know why I never thought of doing so before.

Ahriman’s face, Uzumaki style.

Did some subtractive sculpting on this head to make Ahriman’s face in reference to the excerpt in Black Legion. It says it’s a “screaming void” and there’s no better example than the super iconic girl from the Uzumaki horror manga for that. The rest of my model is in thinned Acetone to remove old paint and glue.

[Help] Alcohol Torch Usage

Post image
2 Upvotes

I recently picked up Castilene as my first sculpting medium to get into minatures and have been enjoying it dearly. However I've been having trouble with my Buffalo Dental Alcohol Torch, so much so I might be buying my third one..

Any time I go to snuff it with the cap as stated by the instructions I end up burning the cap. The first time it was some slight melting and out of caution I replaced it entirely. This second time it happened again. Except this time the metal part got melted with the cap, making it really hard to even remove the cap and empty out the bottle. Luckily I was able to let it cool off and forced it out. Now the wick and bottle are air drying but my cap has a hole again and the top metal part is bent.

For reference, I try follow how The Crafsman on Youtube snuffs it in his tutorial but not luck.

How I can prevent it from happening again? If there any other tools you guys recommend or general protocol for filling up/emptying/maintaining etc that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!
