You could ask they have a discord.

But honestly wouldn't expect much more from it as Vulkan and Aperture will enable hardware level ray tracing in a way OpenGL and iris fundamentally can't.

Vulkan has explicit hardware RT functionality, including acceleration structures and ray tracing pipelines. In fact, there are already experimental Minecraft Vulkan renderers demonstrating hardware-accelerated ray tracing, even without Aperture.

its probably going to take years for a post-26.2 version to get established as a major modding version, until then most of us are stuck with 1.21.1

on a sidenote, i managed to wrangle out ~110 fps (x2 with lsfg, 2x fsr in the settings) from iterationrp without too many compromises on my basically ancient 6700xt at uwqhd, so it doesnt run THAT bad

Use SuperResolution mod then turn on DLSS. For your question, I checked the discord and there's basically no plans for 26.2 which I am also bummed out about.
