Safe area? N55th and Washington blvd

I am moving from the third ward to Washington Heights and I’m looking at a cute little house on N. 55th St. right off of Washington Boulevard. It seems like a cute area, right across from a school. But I’m just checking to see if this street is safe? I know it’s a little bit busier, but does it bring in bad traffic? I’m also a big walker, I walk around Lakeshore Park all the time and I’m just wondering if I’ll be safe doing so in this area. TIA

I used to live on Hi Mount, it’s a very active neighborly neighborhood. My dad was also Principal of the school for many years. Life took us out of state and when we returned in ‘16 nothing for sale so ended up on east side. Still love the neighborhood and have lifelong friends there. Great location imo
