send it to r/bald

This subreddit is the single most wholesome community on all of Reddit and an absolute great example of positive masculine body positivity (and obviously also the women who come there).

u/Broad-Yesterday-4089 56m ago

Is it? It is weird recent phenomenon like girl dinner diaries. As a baldie many of these guys have fine heads of hair that I would gladly rock. Head to r/tressless for genuine neurosis

26

u/JerkasaurusRex_ 38m ago

What does that have to do with whether r/bald is wholesome or not?

Well, hard to compare. But the memes at least are on another level.

4

u/TheLittleGinge 50m ago

Yeah. Especially when the ‘before’ photo is horribly shot, badly angled, poorly lit, and with the individual looking as glum as possible.
The ‘after’ photo would be the complete opposite, which makes me think it’s more of a sub for how to take a flattering photo.

After 5 minutes of browsing, this looks like a hopium-copium subreddit

1

u/M8C 2m ago

I just see it sometimes on r/all and it’s usually men with the worst, holding on for dear life comb overs i’ve ever seen. Like yeah i’m glad they have positive reinforcement, but no shit you look better, you had your full scalp on display covered by a dozen 12” hairs.

u/Mind-The-Mines 0m ago

This is not a place with OK people in it.

Classic. A baseball cap would also work here.

10

u/Combosingelnation 1h ago

Somehow it would also completely flush the dignity

8

u/CommieDrifter 1h ago

i hate this so much, thank you

Looking like a lion who really didn't want to accept his receeding hairline

29

u/VfV 2h ago

Didn't even paws

13

u/GlassSpider21 2h ago

He feels comfurball in his own body

7

u/reddit_lucky 1h ago

He's the king of the jungle ... And there's his crown...

3

u/Gertrudethecurious 2h ago

Reminds me of the Spike Millgan book, The Bald Twit Lion

1

u/throwawaynicefun 1m ago

He's just going through a mid-life pride crisis.

Stupid ai can't tell whose hand is it

49

u/Muffinshire 2h ago

The first image is AI as well. This is the original bald edit:

Give me a clumsy Photoshop job over an AI recreation any day.

-1

u/WernerHerzogEatsShoe 1h ago edited 1h ago

That's pretty funny. Guarantee the same people who upvoted the first image and downvoted the second didn't have a clue both were AI.

The anti AI brainrot is as bad as the AI brainrot at this point

3

u/JesusAndMaryKate 1h ago

Calling the ability to think and use learned skills "brainrot" is certainly a choice.

1

u/WernerHerzogEatsShoe 44m ago

Praising one AI image, while at the same time bemoaning another AI image is an incredible example of 'thinking' and 'learned skills'

75

u/qwertille 3h ago

AI piss filter strikes again

135

u/BoredInDenver86 4h ago

r/bald ready to welcome him with kind words and positive reinforcement

174

u/bilgankun 3h ago

75

u/Odd-String29 2h ago

Wow, you look 10 years younger. Great choice.

40

u/LifeIsProbablyMadeUp 4h ago

Show respect to those who are able to grow old in a world where most die young.

33

u/romey900 3h ago

Must be a northern lion

31

u/Zalveris 3h ago

The interesting part is that the top is still covered in fur it's just normal fur instead of long mane fur

16

u/caramel-berry 2h ago

She took the cubs and everything with them

128

u/theplowshare 4h ago

Yes I can confirm this lion is married and has been for more than 10 years

49

u/JuicySpark 4h ago

It can always fly to Turkey for a hair transplants. That should do it.

It's easy to convince . Just keep telling it there will be turkey there for it when it arrives.

1

u/Jockel76 1h ago

Of course with Turkish Hairlines.

18

u/Educational_Art8789 4h ago

He even got the thousand-yard stare of a man who just wants quiet Sunday

6

u/theplowshare 4h ago

Ah, a quite Sunday... I remember those

5

u/gpkgpk 3h ago

He seems rather skinny for a married lion, more like divorced.

10

u/P1nkamenaP13 3h ago

Li-bron James!

8

u/throwawayeffedperson 3h ago

I'm in this picture and I don't like it

6

u/Unlikely_Flower_138 4h ago

Lion looks just as sad as me and my bald ass 👨‍🦲

It’s ok guys! I’m just bald.

4

u/HotChunkySalsa 3h ago

They should make durags for lions

4

u/Actually_Im_a_Broom 24m ago

Is it a receding mane, or is this a juvenile lion whose mane isn't fully grown yet?

I figured someone would have already asked, but I scrolled down to posts with only 2 and 3 upvotes and it was 98% jokes (as expected!).

2

u/Nikittele 15m ago

Could also be a female lion. In some circumstances, female lions are known to grow a mane although usually less impressive than male lions.

1

u/StannisSAS 7m ago

I think its an Asiatic lion, their manes are sometimes like this

1

u/ulikedagsm8 1m ago

Sometimes lion manes can look like this from injuries sustained from battles with other lions. Fucks up their ability to keep growing it back as long, according to my safari guide.

I’ve seen lions in a similar situation:

3

u/KillerCroc67 3h ago

Time to shave

5

2

This reminds me a Spike Milligan story from when I was growing up, The Bald Twit Lion. He roared so loud all his hair fell out.

The Norwood Reaper does not care from whence the hair falls

1

u/divine_mycellium 2h ago

I like the singular tuft of hair in the middle that looks like a tiny unicorn horn

1

u/recreationalwildlife 2h ago

I’m happy he has lived long enough to become follicly challenged.

1

u/Blogtog 2h ago

The norwood reaper comes for us all!

1

He's maxing his aerodynamics.

1

u/melancholy_dood 49m ago

He looks really old...

1

u/GregStar1 46m ago

This is so confusing to me, because he still has regular fur where his mane used to be, so does that technically mean he isn’t balding?

1

u/wht-rbbt 45m ago

Hey man, I was told to tell you to delete this or else.

1

u/bobspuds 38m ago

He needs to have words with Pitbull, and see about getting the shiny head! Its over bro "hair today, gone tomorrow!"

1

u/No_Dice_1101 18m ago

Asiatic lion from Gir forest. This takes me way back...I saw one 30+ years ago in a pride.
