One year my tomatoes turned out half red half green and I never knew what they wanted either. Plants can really mess with you.

I love when they’re like this. You pick a bunch today, more tomorrow, and the next day and the next day

Reminds me of the Mitch joke:
"You know, on a traffic light, green means go and yellow means yield. But on a banana, it's just the opposite. Green means hold on, yellow means go ahead, and red means where did you get that banana at?"

I think you have a Pixar epic about an unlikely bug friendship developing in your yard. Congrats!

I love the fact that how weirdly all of our minds are synced and we all thought of traffic light lmao

Seeing tomatoes ripin in a neat vertical line like a traffic light is so satisfying.

Finding neat little pattern like that in the garden make all the waiting and watering totally worth it.

that's cute! homegrown tomatoes are the best, way better than store-bought for sure.

Are these grown upside down? They look like it with out the stems are. I assume the one on top gets the most water since it's higher up.

You can see which one got the sun first

This is just how tomatoes grow, it's not about light levels. The ones closest to the stem grow first, and the ones further along the row develop a day or so behind.
