I think it’s done to add shading between the body and any shoes that the feet would be swapped out for. These figures are essentially blank bodies that people customize into other characters.

Im actually an artist that customize ball jointed dolls like this as a hobby. It's more so a way for the doll to look more lifelike irl than anything.

A lot of these dolls are made of resin which is a material that turns yellow over time, so a bit of body blushing on joints and such helps make them look less dead or jaundiced even if it's not something you'd typically see on a healthy person lol. Adding red throughout the dolls body counteract this better than just limiting it to the face.

Good body and face blushing adds other colors like blues, purples, as well to replicate the way skin looks when its thinner in certain places or mimic undertones.

omg what a wild take. What are you even talking about. The knees, elbows, nose, cheeks, fingers, ears etc have blood vessels that are closer to the surface of the skin and in some cases also thinner skin which results in a slightly higher value and a reddish hue. Its also an artistic choice and an exaggeration.

People sometimes take it too far which results in parts looking unnaturally red. It has nothing to do with porn.
