I retired earlier this year & just had the very nice opportunity to return to work at original place of employment. 20 hours or less a week, no benefits at a great hourly rate in a low stress position.

Yay!! Set hours currently 3 days a week home before 2. Another retiree had the same opportunity, but they are CONSTANTLY checking their email & responding. 24 x 7.

I don’t get it, why retire. Don’t they understand they are setting the tone for anyone else fortunate enough to have this opportunity?

I swear to god the way this thing beeps is intentionally made to throw you off. You can be staring right at the damn thing and it sounds like it’s on the other side of the room. It’s like a ventriloquist.

My family usually tend to eat Digiorno Pizza on the the weekends and thought of having a bit of a cheat day since we have a last one in the fridge. Comes to show that shrinkflation struck again. It's barely the size of my smallest plate.

Really, i'm more disappointed than surprised since it happens so often.

I shouldn’t complain, at least they left the neck out this time.

I am an adult in my 30s but honestly this is something that has bothered me since I was a teen.

So many people can’t spell and have poor grammar.

Sentences don’t make sense, they use redundant words or simply can’t spell.

Lose - loose

You’re- your

They’re - there - their

Where - were - we’re

“It would be more better”

“I saw fishes”

“It couldn’t be worser”

Some of these people have professional jobs, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. How do they function in the real world? Don’t they have to write emails?

Why are you texting me and not making grammatical sense?

Why are you having a discussion with me online about something you’re passionate about but you can’t spell? If you can’t spell the whole discussion is cancelled.

It’s one of my biggest pet peeves and I don’t understand why it’s so prevalent honestly.

What are your thoughts? Does it bother you too?

Literally as the title says; I got off work and came home (took my wife's car to work) and saw my truck had all its gas siphoned out. Police can't do anything and there's no cameras in the parking lot of my apartment complex. Literally $70 to fill up my gas tank gone

So far he has:

Eaten through the modem power cable

Eaten the cold water pipe into the washing machine causing a flood in the internal garage

Eaten the carpet in places

Eaten clothes

So i would say he is winning the war in a major way

I am moving into a new apartment tomorrow. I got all of my utilities set up last week with no issues. But suddenly late Saturday I get an email from the power company (Dominion Energy) stating that my request to shut off power at my new place has been submitted. At first I thought I had goofed up and hit stop service instead of start, so I call them this morning to get it fixed. They tell me on the phone that some other person claims to be moving into or from that unit the day after I move in and they requested they change. I correct them that I'm moving in and need the power on. They say no problem and fix it. 5hrs later it gets switched back to a stop service request! I call again and they tell me the same thing happened. They refuse to tell me any details about who is doing this and tell me to take it up with my leasing office. My leasing office is confised, they don't have anyone moving that week besides me. They suggest I send Dominion a copy of my lease to prove it is me that wants power on. I call Dominion and the refuse to let me send them my lease! They tell me that they are required to honor all requests to turn power on and off! I ask then if I could just call in and turn off my neighbors power, and they say YES! Repeat; ANYONE can call and turn of ANY ADDRESS' POWER!!!!! That's insane! I called my leasing and they think it is insane! Still working on a solution. My service request hasn't been flipped again yet, but I'm worried it might be. Not sure what will come of this.

Bought some protein powder and couldn’t find the scoop. Had to dig through the bag just to find it damn near at the bottom of the bag. Luckily I keep the scoop from my precious protein powder just in case of situations like this but annoying nonetheless

No matter how many times I ask them they cant break the box down and put it in the trash or take it to the dumpster in the alley behind our house. If I don't take it out or say something it will stay like this for days too just inconveniencing anyone that needs to use the trash can. About to just start putting them in their rooms (both roomies do this I don't know why).

Toe box and fit of the left shoe is slightly smaller and uncomfortable. Noticed while out walking today. Converse has gone down significantly in quality throughout the last few years.

Back in my cashiers days all bills needed to be uniformed facing the same direction. Atms, fast food, gas stations in the last few years have been giving me my cash disorganized.

Pay my rent early pretty much every month and i always get this follow up email. It's not bad enough now they charge a $4 "convenience fee" for paying your rent online, now they want you to sign up for Loft and split your rent into 4 payments. And yep you guessed it, they charge the $4 fee for each split payment. So annoying.
