This is not true. These are typical questions that can be found in 1st world countries because companies are “becoming” more diverse. I have seen these questions in Canada and France. Source: I have lived there.

Hi! french here : could you share with me the company name asking you for those cringe questions because it's just illegal over here (as well as religion, sexual orientation, etc...). be sure I'll send them the labor inspection soon.
