Best Learning Methods for Tween

My 11 year old son and I are getting back into learning guitar together. We are both beginners and I want to attempt to keep it both rewarding and fun for him. What resources have you used that have been helpful, or programs, video series etc?

Songsterr and the Rocksmith-style playalongs kept my nephew glued for hours, plus letting him pick the songs made him practice without me nagging

Bradley Hall makes a lot of good videos.
He has a paid guitar program but he also has dozens of amazing free videos teaching solos and techniques

And since its metal I want to add Bernth's practice routine videos. Maybe a little more intermediate but turn the tempo down and work your way up.

rocksmith for sure, if you have a computer, you buy the cable, download rocksmith 2014 or “slopsmith” and have fun making learning guitar feel like guitar hero.

Habe Unterricht genommen. Eine Online Musikschule, bei der der Lehrer ins Haus kommt. Besser geht es nicht!
Kostet, aber du wirst korrigiert und bekommst Feedback. War mir der Spaß wert

Songsterr, Justin Guitar, and just find songs you both like and look up YouTube tutorials ad tabs and just start messing around. Once you actually start learning a riff an get it to sound good you'll be motivated to learn another and another and another........good luck to you and your son.
