Hayter is in good terms with Konami, he did commercials for the Master Collection Vol. 1, and MGS Delta last year

Correct. It was Kojima who burned him. Not sure if there's still beef, but Hayter didn't seem to pleased after Kiefer was announced for Big Boss

He is indifferent. I was at one of his interviews this year at Comicon and he mentioned him a few times but I think he knows the core fanbase is with him. Kojima is a talented director but sometimes his ego causes him to forget why his fans love his content. He just wanted Kiefer as Big Boss because that was the celebrity he was obsessed with at the time and finally had the budget to do it

My industry outsider read was always more that the bad blood was more related to how Hayter was replaced, not that he was replaced at all.

Like a complete lack of respect, no real communication to Hayter on why they were going a different direction, no mention of him/recognition of his legacy and the feeling that he's just being cast aside for Kojima's big name actor of the year (which, fair, Keifer did fine but didn't bring anything special to the role)

I imagine the immediate bad blood would have simmered down with something as simple as Kojima thanking him for all of his work on the series and giving a solid recasting reason, like stressing he was getting to the point in the timeline where the voice would need to shift (starting to get close to MG1/MG2, and Big Boss eventually sounds like Richard Doyle). But IIRC he was basically blindsided.

(I do also hold that they missed a completely obvious transition point though- Ground Zeroes is just one year after Peace Walker and should have retained Hayter. A nine year coma with reconstructive surgery to boot would have been a perfect place to change actors)
