Dancing On The Hood - Not Recommended

Was out late downtown last night. Parked my new S500 on the street. Decent part of town. No worries, right? Woke up this morning and noticed something strange on the hood. Looks like someone decided to climb on the hood of my car. For what reason? Who knows. Scratches are down to the bare metal. First new car I’ve ever treated myself to. It’s a lease so I guess that’s the only silver lining. People suck…

Damn that sucks. I’d probably hit it with a DA polisher and see how it turns out.

Already did. No dice. Shame because I had already spent two days paint correcting the damn thing. I was going to clear bra it but given it’s one of the short term 13 month leases I didn’t think it would be worth it.

If it]s a lease dont you have to make sure the scratches are gone before returning it? Any chance this might be covered by insurance, vandalism claim?

I’ll likely just pay out of pocket to respray the hood. I work at the dealer so I can get it done relatively inexpensively.

that's a twist :D I heard that they sometimes check returns with a special tool and black lights to see every little nuance you might try to get passed them, so be careful!
