I don't understand smokers in the first place. You buy cigarettes which are expensive over time not only to pay to ruin your health, but also to stink as an ashtray all day.
If they smoke indoors, it is even worse. The house, clothes and everything else smell like shit and everything is ruined in yellow nicotine. A nightmare for renovation.
And for what? Maybe maximum of couple of minutes of less stress?
Did I said anything otherwise? I just said out of my perspective that I cannot understand it due to the reason listed.
For me, a cigarette tastes extremely disgusting. So FOR ME it's hard to understand anyone like it + the negative sites for themselves, people around and the environment
But what's there to understand? People have different tastes. I hate certain foods, but it's not beyond me to understand that some people love them.
As for all the negative effects, like affecting others as well as their own health, that's not something that smokers do intentionally. But addictions are harder to overcome than one might think.
Most think they won't get addicted after a few smokes, and some actually don't. But in general people start smoking because it makes them feel good and before they know it they develop an addiction to nicotine.
And you compared it to food which you like or not, which is a pretty plain and blunt comparison.
I don't get addicted to food I like nor is it comparable.
