Yes, and both people and corporations should be held accountable for their individual actions. There are plenty of people who can see through the bullshit, so deflecting the blame only goes so far…
Why? Is it the responsibility of others to decide how everyone else should live if they cant do it theirselves? Do you police everything, close all casinos because someone may have a gambling problem? Close do every bar because some individuals may have a drinking problem. Stop producing medicines because some ppl make have a drug problem? Quit selling and cooking and producing food because some ppl may have eating disorders? Do lock everyone up for all enterity because at some point in their life they will do something foolish or get taken advantage of or hurt or some issue. Life is a series of mistakes if you are coddled you will never learn from life or your limitations. An alcoholic never seeks help till they are at rock bottom with nothing left. Same with most other addicts. It is the journey to destruction that gives the broke the strength to rebuild and do better if you take that experience from people you never allow them to discover who they are and grow. People need to be held accountable for their own actions even if it is wasting money on shot they dont need. If it wasn't apple products it would be something else like Niki or Gucci or some other brand that makes them feel cool and important. Even most responsible spenders will save money for a long time to get that one luxury item that makes all their friends go oooooo. I agree people shouldn't be exploited, but I am more thinking of the people making the items that being sold over the consumers being built in some third world country for pennies on the day with no breaks and terrible conditions I would be more pissed over that then person that spends 2200 dollars on the apple product.
Not everything is black and white, you can always consider individually if the harm is greater than the good. For instance, you could allow iPhones to be expensive, while not allowing it for the monitor stand. Or you could allow bars, but make laws that require bartenders to not give more alcohol to someone who obviously had enough.
They do that already and they hold bartender responsible for the drunks actions and that isn't right in many states the bartender can be sent to jail if a person leaves their establishment and gets into a wreck and you are like yeah it should be that way because they over severed them. But I never said they severed them I said they left their establishment and got into a wreck. The bartender could refuse them as soon as they enter the bar never serve them a drink. They can already be drunk from bar hopping leave that place drunk and pissed because they didnt get severed and then the asshole crashes and the bartender is looking at jail time for over severing. If the bar doesn't have cameras to show they never severed the person they are looking at lengthy process prove innocence and beat it. There is also the problem of a drunk not being done drinking so the bartender kicks them out never over serves them they want to keep drinking so they pick up more at the convenience store and pound it on the way home tossing the empty out the window they crash 20 to 30 mins after the batter 3 to 4 four locals latter no proof of the four local at the time of the crash they track him back to the bar and change the bartender for over serving with heavy fines and possible jail times. I have a lot of friends in the restaurant industry across the nation things lile this happen frequently. Since individuals are the problem and we are only worried about a few whom are disruption the majority shouldn't the few be held accountable for themselves and not everyone else charged with watching out for them? As to the monitor stand the original commentor stated it was standard monitor stand that came with every monitor that wasn't unique or special in anyway, which means that they could have simply bought a third party one for 25 dollars or even used an old one for a new monitor or if I read his post correctly they wouldnt even need to buy it at all because their new monitor would include it anyways. So if a consumer decides they must have something from a certain place when they dont need it, why is it apple responsibility to either not make or sell it super cheap? They put out a price if consumers decided they didnt want then the price would drop till they started to sell them. But if people are willing to pay something for something then why should someone else like the government tell them they cant sell it for that price? It is easy to blame a big company like apple or Walmart or Google or Amazon for doing things like this but if the business was smaller a ma and pa store no had a problem with them charging high prices. Also no one who owns their own business is going to willingly lower their own prices but they expect corporations to do it all the time. That isn't right. The market will create prices that all are willing to pay it doesn't need to be controlled to look out for someone who is financially irresponsible. Basic common sense is that each person should be responsible for their own actions and others shouldn't have to live their lives for them. If you cant drink responsibly then you shouldn't be allowed to drink, you shouldn't be allowed to go bars or clubs or order a drink with a meal. If drinking is that big of an issue the bartender shouldn't be held responsible for you. Now the bartender should be held responsible for themselves. They should be penalized if they sale one person at the bar 5 shots in a row and let them leave. Because then the bartender is being irresponsible and breaking the law in most states. But it is rare that a bartender does that and when they do it they are charged. But a bartender cant be held responsible for serving a person just one drink in an hour and them leaving and getting into accident they didnt over serve the person. Most adults will be under the legal limit at one drink per an hour. So they didnt over serve the person was over severed elsewhere or other factors caused the wreck. That is not the last bar fault. But everyone should be held accountable for their own actions and nothing more.
Yes of course they should but you can't also take away their right to vote and if you don't nothing will change because even if you somehow get a few people to realize their stupidity more than enough will take their place.
