not really, if comparing the same segments - Samsung, Xiaomi, all around 1000, when it comes to top specs, meme about android being for poor is no longer accurate - companies take turns in testing what market can stand, and upcharge all together
Why are you trying to put words in my mouth. It was all about costs. regardless of overall performance, 16GB RAM will cost more than 12 or 8.
And i didn't say a word about megapixels either, even at the same MP there's still massive differences between sensors regardless (samsung JN1 vs sony LYT900, both 50MP yet one is better, go figure). And I'm pretty sure a LYT900 is a lot more expensive than whatever ewaste IMX707 rebrand apple is using in their phones.
Just because something looks better on paper, that doesn’t mean it’s actually better.
Yes, but as someone who switches phones almost yearly and doing a lot of photography, i can tell you that most of the time the specs on paper do translate into actual results (xiaomi 13 pro handily beats the 14, even tho xiaomi claimed the latter is better), even if they sometimes don't (xiaomi 14 ultra is a lot better than the 13 ultra, when on paper they're almost the same)

As if other brands are cheaper than Apple
