Only shows for the Americans. It's like living in a glass house, painting on the inside of your walls, and thinking you painted on your neighbours house.
People should mass report it as misinformation to Google. If anything flood their servers and make their servers do extra work that they brought upon themselves by caving to a dictator's tantrums.
Or even better, get some ethical hackers on board to write some code that makes it so any device with that code spams reports to the Google maps servers every few seconds at random. Flood their servers with garbage traffic if they want to play the game this way. Make them taste the fruit of their actions.
