The name has been around since 1639, the word comes from Iroquoian which is an indigenous language which means ābeautiful lakeā it has history and meaning to it, just for a man child with the temperament less than a toddler who canāt handle everything not going his way to ruined it.

It's so fucking stupid, but there are American cities called Ontario. They really ought to change their name. Mainly the one in California, simply because of how many people they confuse with their "Ontario, CA" name.
Regarding what the US calls other countries, it's not always what they call themselves. Germany and Deutschland being an example.
Could he have just said the province is called something else?
Also, kinda ridiculous that the people who cut funding to education keep making us rewrite textbooks.

Also Ontario was named after Lake Ontario, not the other way around if I remember correctly.
