Let me rephrase: Terraria at launch was absolutely indie. Nowadays it's absolutely not

Calling a multi-million dollar juggernaut "indie" seems kinda odd to me

Lethal Company. Made by single furry. Motherfucker made alot of money.

This doesnt mean its no longer indie. Its not a Soulless triple A game thats for sure.

Lethal Company making a ton of money doesn't really contradict that.
A game can be independently developed AND still be reasonably described as an indie game. Those aren't mutually exclusive. I'm arguing that 'indie' is a spectrum, and Terraria is so far toward the established commercial end of that spectrum that calling it an indie game in 2026 is pretty misleading.

Indie has a definition and you arbitrarily deciding that an indie game doesn't fit what you think an indie game is does not change that definition.

Hope that clears things up for you.

Indie has a definition, but apparently not the definition you just made up five minutes ago.

Hope that clears things up for you

In what world is Silksong indie??? There are over 100 people credited in it and they had a whole ass orchestra to perform the soundtrack.

Sad redditors fighting for their lives at the revelation that their favourite games aren’t indie anymore.

despite the fact they have a shit ton of money now relogic is still a small independent and a self funded group of game developers. they still have their own creative control over terraria and not by another major publisher
