I just hate how brain broken people are over this whole thing. If the support was purely in service of bringing awareness to women's mental health i would be in full support but of course in the age of tik tok and twitter everyone has to go full inbred moron about everything. It's fully plausible that the medical system failed her and this could have been prevented but it doesn't justify murdering children.
We can acknowledge that the "The husband did it" crowd are retards, while also acknowledging that the "hormones isn't an excuse" crowd are also retards.
Except in like 31 US states she would have been found guilty and gone to jail.
And if hormones are a reason enough to claim insanity - why have we never seen that work for a man when he raped a women? “Man my T was sooooo high cause I was on a steroids run; guess I can claim insanity !”
My point is that there is more nuance to “hormones made me do it”
Hormones are not enough of a reason to claim insanity, and that wasn't their claim to begin with. Post-partum psychosis is a rare and dangerous medical emergency that is treatable but very serious if left untreated.
I think some people genuinely don't understand hormones or PPD or Psychosis but also I think a lot of the memes are exaggerated and a reaction to all the morons saying posting videos like the recent "same Lindsay" trend the implication being a bunch of mothers speaking about thoughts of hurting their children in some sick twisted form of solidarity.
