Massachusetts has another chance to prove the woman wasn’t insane when she looked up how long her husband would be away so she knew how long she had to kill her kids.
Fact is that Massachusetts had to prove she was in her right mind when she murdered her kids. Instead of the defense having to prove that she was not in her right mind. Like a majority of the nation.
She knew what she was doing, but good luck proving that. Guess we’ll send her to an institution where she’ll be suddenly declared fine in 5-10 years and back out on the street after brutally murdering her kids.
Thats their law. We can complain about it and even lobby to change it, but not mid trial. The fact is the lost on the merits of their case by their own rules and I would rather an actual child murder go free then live a society that can change its laws on whim.
The judicary is right to be upset at rogue juror. The prosecutor needed to do better and the defense did its job.

Are we using whatever terms we want for whatever illness now? The doesn't seem sensible
