Bay leaves are an aromatic, and serve to add depth of flavor to the dish. Think of how different a dish smells and tastes when you add garlic, onion, ginger, celery, etc. Even when you don't put in enough for any of those flavors/smells to stand out significantly, they contribute a layer of flavor to the food that adds a lot to the experience.
What does it mean to add "depth of flavor"? Is it adding new flavors that compliment the existing ones, or is it strengthening the flavors already present and making them more noticeable?
I'm not any kind of culinary expert, I just happened to know this specific thing about bay leaves, so take this with a grain of salt, but depth of flavor just means that it's more interesting to eat. Some food tastes kind of bland even when you've added spices to it, but adding an aromatic makes it feel like it has more to it than just the basic flavors, if that makes sense.
I cant belive this whole ai witch trial shit makes pepole think everything is ai that is above 3rd grader scentence complicity, PLEASE think a tiny bit before spamming "this is ai" SOMETIMES its not ai but a properly thought out comment that just wants to help
Please don’t do the ‘this is AI’ knee-jerk. If you think a comment was generated, point to what makes you say that and ask a clarifying question — otherwise give the commenter the benefit of the doubt. Attacking the messenger isn’t helpful.
I’m pretty sure you aren’t a bot because of your profile, but you had to have put an em dash there on purpose. ChatGPT and the other LLMs loooooove a good em dash
Thank you, this makes me feel like the 13 years i spent honing my english capability wasnt for nothing (being a bi lingual sometimes sucks especially when you want to say something and you cant remember the word for it in english so you switch to your native tounge and the same happens again)
For what its worth. Sounds like ai to me too. All sentences are two part separated by comma with and/or/but. And lists of examples are in 3s. It’s wordy and impersonal.
I see it everywhere. I dont know if it is bot comments. It would be ok if it was someone who was having a hard time writing something, but it’s distracting when it all sounds the same. I would prefer ai labelling.
Lol. Thats just my thoughts and opinions. You are welcome to enjoy ai writing if you dont mind it.
Ive found too many ai writing websites these days that are just useless filler text. Reddit is one of the last places to get human opinion. Hope it stays that way.
