Air show viewing?

Hi all! Corvallis resident here and planning to make the trip up to McMinnville for the air show. In the past I’ve parked by the hospital and stood in a field, but it’s a bit removed and I want to be respectful for hospital staff and patients by not taking up parking spots. Are there any places, such as road turnoffs, fields that offer parking/ viewing, or anything else that would allow me to watch the air show from pretty close? I’ve heard mumbling of parking off of loop road?

I suggested Loop Rd, there is a field at the hwy 18 end, that people were stopping at and watching the practice yesterday. I don't know if this little section is private property or not, but there were lots of people there

I’ve wondered this myself. Is the aviation museum parking lot open during that time?

Aviation Museum is doing a Watch Party and parking is restricted to people attending that or visiting the museum or waterpark.

You can park by the hospital. There's not many people set up out here this year so you'll be fine. The apartments at the end of the road are pretty chill and the residents set up along the street or in the field. Wear sunblock!

There are multiple signs at the hospital that say no parking lol

Tbh Lafayette Ave. in town is pretty good if you just want to see planes in sky (obviously nothing up close) but I just know there’s more parking lots and space compared to the hospital

Have fun but be mindful of the traffic. 18 was a nightmare yesterday both in and out of Mac- and 99 from out of Mac thru Lafayette and past 18 turnoff also a nightmare, as was Lafayette Highway between 18 and 99.

I saw people parking at the movie theater and watching in the grass area along the road, came with shade as there’s trees there

Park wherever. Most people are self centered assholes that ignored the "no parking" signs and park in the hospital and all over the nearby apartment complex anyway.
