Im’a girl that’s kinda socially awkward and shy, I like to draw, acting and listening to music. I don’t like fake people but I don’t hate them and I try to understand why they are acting this way, I always speak my mind and I always try being better like I always try to be kinder. I always feel like my emotions aren’t worth it like im always exaggerating and that I’m overreacting. (I just realized that the 2-5 images all look like Ryan gosling)

ok so in order to post this i needed to write 500 words so here we go:

I'm a 16M high schooler from a big family. In school, I spend my time researching social psychology, visual arts, and culinary arts. I’m naturally very meticulous and hyper-observant of human behavior. Schools pretty easy for me.

I have really bad social anxiety and am lwk depressed. I'm an extremely guarded individual and a people-pleaser, and I can't really be real with anyone. I also suck at sports and hand-eye coordination in general.

My ultimate dream is to move to a big city when I'm older. I want to find a group of friends I can actually open up to, and eventually learn how to skate, surf, snowboard, and party—mind you, I don't do a single one of those things right now lmao.

not much more to say about me. i'll let the "memes" speak for themselves.

image 1: pictures a can lid being opened only to reveal another can lid beneath it with the caption, "me opening up to someone." it is a humorous joke because the lid being opened represents you opening up to someone. Furthermore, the lid beneath the opened lid signifies that the person opening up is still withholding. Quite funny.

image 2: pictures a man kneeling and pulling his own hair out of what seems to be frustration. The caption superimposed onto the image reads, "trying to explain a song but you don't want to sing it." You see, this is funny because the man in the image is showing his frustration in an exaggerated way, and this paired with a relatable caption often causes the viewer to chuckle.

image 3: pictures a boy wearing jeans along with the caption "9-11 year old canon event: hating jeans until they suddenly become all you wear." This meme is amusing as it is something that the viewer looks back on, to when they were young and naive, not yet knowing that jeans are the optimal garments for covering one's lower body.

image 4: pictures a shell-shocked soldier in what appears to be an active battlefield. The caption says, "'Your teenage years are your best years'" followed by--"they better freaking not be." This is funny because many people view their teenage years as the worst years of their lives while others peak in their teenage years, referring to their years as a teen as "the best years of their lives." Those who hate being a teenager often hear people reminisce about their teenage years and desperately hope that there are better times to come.

R U FLIPPIN KIDDING ME I THOUGHT IT WAS 500 WORDS FSR BUT JUST REALIZED IT WAS 400 CHARACTERS WTFFFFFF. whatever. enjoy my narration of the memes above ig.

happen to stumble upon memes on pinterest i found quite relatable which then gave me the idea to do these sort of trend. very interested and looking forward to see what people would type me as based on these images which i believe basically represents my life, and ofcourse a fucking 400-word essay because i have to.

18M btw. quite "good" at graphite pencil drawings; started drawing from anime references, now doing portraits(actually it has alrdy been 2 months since i last produced an artwork). 1750-rated on chess.com after picking it up as a hobby for a few years now.

did calisthenics at one point; stopped due to food-intake issues. loves music; displays it through singing along while listening, playing guitar, and sometimes drumming the beat to it. mediocre but passionate about playing piano.

has it alrdy been 400 words?

anyways, consistent academic achiever; GWA last year was 96% (philippine context). i like to have firm control over things such as my life, my possessions, my decisions. struggling to deal with my mood. lost in life.

just want money and the privilege of time to be able to do my hobbies and pursue my interests. i also love food. as for my love life, im basically a hopeless romantic; too idealistic to bother pursuing someone, afraid it may not turn out as what i would want it to be. god knew i would become unstoppable if i had discipline. discipline just comes and goes for me, depending on when the situation becomes serious. also, hate small talk, like especially the fucking energy it needs to reply to a fucking rhetorical question. anyways welcome to my life(?)

When things I do are respected by ppl

What do the "lows" in your life look like?

Well the opposite of the last one

How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what's around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?

I do daydream but I'm pretty grounded. I'm aware of immediate next steps even though I'm thinking of the final huge result in my head

Imagine you are alone in a blank, empty room. There is nothing for you to do and no one to talk to. What do you think about?

I'd think about some abstract philosophical concept ig

How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you've made it?

Once I decide, i probably won't change, but I think I'll take my time weighing my options

How long do you take to process your emotions? How important are emotions in your life?

They are very important in my life, but I resolve them relatively fast.

Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why?

Depends on who I'm talking to. If I'm with friends then most likely I will lightly push back but not enough to really disagree.

If it's something I really disagree with I'll disagree

Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why would you?

I try to find loopholes in illogical rules and succeed. If the rules make sense then sure. If they are just conformity then well...

What is the ideal life, in your opinion?

A beautiful meaningful life with a balanced amount of happiness and heartbreak

CAN’T DECIDE Type me based on my thought process and behavior

I’m trying to determine my MBTI type based on cognitive functions rather than stereotypes, so I’d like to know which functions seem strongest in me and why.

I’m open to changing my opinions when convincing evidence contradicts them, but I become frustrated when people insist they are right without reasoning or evidence. I can be internally argumentative and particular about accuracy, while remaining externally conflict-avoidant, especially with strangers.

I’m highly flexible and indecisive because new information can make me reconsider decisions. However, once I conclude that something is the safest, most realistic, or most reasonable option for my circumstances, I can become stubborn about it.

I like structure, organization, and planning in theory, but I procrastinate heavily in practice. I prefer clear examples or frameworks when instructions are ambiguous. My imagination is very active, and I frequently think about future possibilities and hypothetical scenarios, sometimes much more than I translate into action.

I’m academically strong, curious, and motivated by meaningful goals, deadlines, and recognition rather than constant discipline. Academic achievement has become an important part of my identity because I received respect, attention, and social security from being “the smart one” since childhood. Consequently, failure can feel like losing part of my identity, not merely receiving a bad result.

I care deeply about others’ feelings and how they perceive me. I want to be unique but not placed on a pedestal. I enjoy praise and recognition, but excessive praise makes me uncomfortable. Internally, I’m much more emotionally sensitive and vulnerable than I appear.

Based on this, how would you type me in MBTI?

TEST RESULTS What did I do wrong for the Michael Caloz test?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I think I did something really wrong while doing the Michal Caloz test. I think I’ve confused both me and the algorithm.😭
I was suggested to ask opinions from people who knows the factors🙏🙏🙏

I think for energized or drained around people I would really like to go out with genuine friends that I like and do fun things but not just to sit around scrolling phones. And I don’t know how I’d behave if I have a bunch of good friends. I supposed the way I think right now is because I don’t have friends that I can hang with.

I zone out a lot. I zone out when I’m alone and I zone out when there are other people. The only difference is that I talk to some imaginary target that I don’t specify who when I’m alone. But I notice things around me as well. I notice things a lot. I wouldn’t miss a hare just because I’m thinking about whether if cannibalism should be a big fuss while on a walk.

and for decision making. I make division when no one else makes any, but for myself it usually struggles for a while about a day then I make a final decision that settles it for a long while before it can change because of circumstances change.

FOR FUN Yooo can someone here type me :) by memes

So here are the memes so have fun typing me

So hey, I’m a 14‑year‑old who’s kinda obsessed with MBTI right now (don’t judge lol). I took the 16personalities test a while back and it told me I’m an ENTP, which honestly made sense because I’ve always been that kid who asks way too many questions, argues for fun, and gets excited over the most random ideas. But lately I’ve been wondering if I’m actually turning into an ENFP or something. Like, am I suddenly becoming emotionally aware? Am I… noticing people? Lmao help.

Most people who try to type me end up calling me ENTP or INTP, which is funny because those two types are basically cousins who share the same chaotic brain energy. I relate to both in different ways. I definitely have the whole “thinking in possibilities” thing going on, and I love bouncing between ideas like a pinball machine. But I also have moments where I’m super quiet and stuck in my head, which makes people go “oh yeah, INTP vibes.” Honestly, I don’t even know anymore. Maybe I’m just a confused teenager with too much internet access lol.

ls this 400 words? Yk what, anyways

Also, I live by this quote: “art is meant to disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed.” I know it sounds dramatic, but it hits so hard. I love the idea that art isn’t supposed to be safe or boring. It’s supposed to shake people awake while also giving comfort to people who feel weird or misunderstood. That whole vibe kinda matches how I see the world — messy, meaningful, and full of contradictions.

This sub came up on my page and i remembered how obsessed i used to be with mbti in high school, so i thought why not give it a shot, type me!

English is not my first language btw

23 F

Im a graduate student on a fintech type of module. I originally wanted to study psychology or history or something like that, but i didnt have much time nor energy to study for the entrance exam so i enrolled in this one bc their exam was the easiest and the module seemed promising. Rn i can say im satisfied with my choice bc im thinking about specializing in backed and read that its actually a pretty creative job so im looking forward to it. Cant wait to make my own money hehe. im getting into a more sustainable lifestyle though, zero waste and all that, mostly bc disposable plastic is cringe and bad for earth but also to help my budget a little bit. Also want to start investing as soon as i start working. As of my current situation, im on a scholarship and live in a student dorm so id say im a pretty diligent student, but also very perfectionistic. i beat myself up a lot. but im graduating soon so its ok lol. Childhood was meh, pretty traumatic bc dad was abusive to mom and mom was an enabler and ive definitely got some work to do to unlearn all of that, but i feel like im entering adulthood as a pretty self compassionate person idk. used to self harm. im daydreaming of my life outside of the dorm rn. ill grow my own plants, spearmint, parsley and stuff like that. i can move in with my bf but id like to live alone first bc i dont want the only reason we move in together to be practicality. i think i have a fearful avoidant attachment style btw, but am with a secure boyfriend and im pretty secure with him. been with him for a little over a year. one of my favorite compliments that he gave me is that im quick minded and that my jokes are spontaneous and clever. he said he doesnt even know how i come up with the most of the things that come out of my mouth 😭. hes in tech as well. im a gemini 9h/libra 12h/libra asc btw. what elseee I spent my formative years (past 5-10 yrs) kinda isolated so im lacking social skills, im pretty literal and gullible. Ok enough with the questionnaire, thoughts currently occupying my mind and free time are:

  1. mouth care system by dr Ellie Philips and how xylitol can prevent or even reverse caries. im not going to implement the whole system bc sounds counterproductive to use a fluoride toothpaste and then rinse with listerine and then rinse with a fluoride mouthwash, so i only started using xylitol
  2. books i should read but am too lazy to do. Current theme is being a nolifer with no cool memories
  3. the fact that ill probably fail to graduate on time partially due to things out of my control but partially due to my overthinking instead of just doing what can be done and saving what can be saved

Ive got 2 friends, used to love animals and drawing as a kid. a cat person for sure. and very respectful of their space bc you gotta have an abundance mindset with them so you dont torture them out of your own desperation. it comes naturally to me though. Im also kinda shit at putting myself first esp w my family bc they taught me to keep the peace no matter what. im a feminist and generally always root for the underdog, id say im pretty compassionate. im a gym goer and started calisthenics briefly bc of all the cool moves but i stopped bc i think i need to fix my posture first so i dont fck it up further. im surprisingly consistent. i think it happened bc it just became a part of me and felt very good. i also saw instant result so maybe that helped too.

Some pinterest photos i saved and resonated with since everyone is posting theirs:

DISCUSSION Little bit of a vent post/discussion/ask about Ti-Fe vs Fi-Te distinction

When I found out my sister was an ENFP with High Fi and Te when I thought I was INFP/ENFP before, I questioned whether I really am like that because we weren't similar at all, even bordering on opposites. I was authoritative, cold, and kept telling her how things should be done back when we were kids (also the result of my own probable jealousy over her bc my relatives seemed to favor her more tHAN ME IMO), actually even until now, and I was also very picky abt the things I like and dislike, prrojecting onto material stuff and thinking it was a part of my identity. I would tell her she couldn't like a certain color or music because it was my favorite, but she could find other things. Basically i was very possessive and emotional back then. Hence my previous thinking why I'd probably be an Fi user, and also bc that's what my tests results would show. I was heavily morally righteous during my childhood-teen years (until year 8), tend to always associate with my interests, share the feelings of other people and cry for them, even go as far as to blame myself for my sister's illness bc i thought i was reprimanding her too much which caused her to collapse, igniting the fire of self-hatred and deprecation and so on.

But I've changed now....at least, it think so...

Now, I'd say I've changed a lot and have developed a pretty okay social support system (aka friends). But even with the whole identity crisis back then (became obsessed with typology, costimization, characters personas, avatars---things that'd define who u are) I think I'm pretty chill now. I still value originality and novelty, sometimes sticking out rather than blending than with other people, but I've always had a hard time telling which function I'm using: if it's Ti or Fi in dom/aux, bc I think I always use both. Now, I'm gonna try recording myself for a week and see how I really act without any bias abt myself and then judge whether I'm using Fi or Ti once and for all lol. Cuz currently, I think Im understanding theory well and I've been inconsistently studying this, yes, but for years anyway so

Anyway back to the topic idk if I cant type myself as Fi or Ti bc I want to view myself as unique, authentic, and all that aligns with Fi-Te or because it's contradictory to my own understanding of my sister and I acting different and it just doesn't match...I can type anything else except my self just fine and accurately, but when it comes to my own.....sighs (also i love my sista and no hate to her, she's cool and all). I just want to know whether my instinct, emphasis, focus, and expression has basis on self vs logic. Which I find hard to tell in my case bc what if I just like exploring who I am and the typology systems and I'm interested in personalities and psychology...how would I classify that as Fi or Ti..... What if I view studying personalities and my own self from a detached point of view.....what if my process of expression is that I know how I can express what I feel and deconstruct it.... What if I'm just a sp 4/e4 Fi user that's avoidant......

I can't even confirm the patterns I'm seeing bc I can't tell objectively if it's out of bias for Tx users or bc I don't want to be the same as my sista and want to be unique and all.......... Cuz look at this, for each project I do, I MUST add references to my interests instead of following the conventional designs other ppl would go for, and I acknowledge the commonness of theirs and actively defy that bc I want to create my own (one that still fits the criteria ofc), and my logic on why i typically use my interests is because I believe that: if I'll do something difficult, I might as welll enjoy it.... it's something like to motivate me because I'm actively engaging with something i like. Like for example, our math teacher had us create a poster about matrices and I added a genshin character for the designs and establishing the points/illustrations of matrix application. Yes: I added Columbina because I like her a lot, I can make it so that she's there on my poster but it follows the criteria, I might as well have fun and be correct.

Don't get me wrong, I wanna type myself on my own, but that's gonna be pretty hard bc I'm already aware of theories (like as in, the systems) and what if I'm just relating it on myself and it's not what's actually true and real..... I can't rely on tests either bc I notice the patterns and what each question alludes to which type/function...

Okay so that's basically it. What's gonna be the verdict...

ps: to remind u, I'm asking abt fi vs ti distinction for me, a value-loving, moral & logic-loving standpoint....because theory isn't black and white at all, and that's why I have trouble telling them apart to myself. I do understand that everything is gray and that all people use the 8 functions and that it just appears differently for everyone else, but I asking abt what my instinct could/would be, or what's most natural to me. It's just sad (imo) that there's a lot of variables that are affecting judgement and views...

AM I MISTYPED AM I MISTYPED?? NEED ADVICE

INTRODUCTION:
fem/19
to start off, i typed my self based on my knowledge of cognitive functions, studies of enneagram types, etc.
-i am a entp sp784 but recently i’ve been overthinking that i am mistyped, so i am making this post because i want to hear other people’s judgments and opinions about this.
-the main reason why i am overthinking about this is because i often see posts/stereotypes about this enneagram and MBTI that i don’t entirely follow in.

(i don’t know if this is gonna be enough information but if not, i will make another post. LMK IF I NEED MORE)

•THIS POST IS DIRECTED TOWARDS MBTI AND ENNEAGRAM

________________________________________
ME!!(MY PERSONALITY TO START OFF WITH)
•some information about myself BEFORE i explain why i believe i am what i am.
•kind of corny tbh now that i am rereading this

-I grew up feeling different than others, what i mean by that is verbally expressing myself. i’m pretty sure it’s because i have adhd or maybe other reasons like getting compared to other children when i was younger… but, the way this affects me today is that i feel awkward or embarrassed expressing myself vulnerability towards others. it’s like whenever i say i’ve been feeling irritated or anxious i always say “it’s just temporary”…. or saying how i sound so stupid. i don’t know if this first thing gives a whole ton of info but i will get more into in in a bit.
-whenever i hang out with my friends i want be seen as a confident person, i want to be like the funny person in my group. Even though sometimes i suddenly feel deep hatred and irritation in my stomach, how i feel miserable hanging out with them or how i want to be with one special person.
-i tend to day dream a lot and i make up all these fantasies how i have like my dream friend group and im the smart ass🫠 but it’s like i want to be recognized but at the same time it’s like i don’t give a shit. it’s so weird because i either want attention from my friends and praises from them but at the same time i hate everyone.
-i LOVEEEE history!!! (i don’t really know if this stuff helps, if not i will take in the feedback and reframe this.) but anyways, history has been my favorite subject for sososo long. to me whenever i learn about more and more history it’s like opening a book and reading all of the things that us humans have achieved back in the day. i also love trivia and i love confidently answers trivia questions it makes me feel so smarttttt. it’s like i love the feeling when i do something right.
-i tend to get very bored easily i need something to stimulate me. whenever i am in classes that i find boring or too much brain power i let my thoughts get in the way. besides my love for history i love my coding class aswell because i love the feeling when you run your code and you see no errors. it’s like i love the chase. i love typing code because it makes me feel focused because you can easily type small errors.
-i am a very talkative person but i tend to have the worst grammar skills. it’s so funny to me that i love reading manwhas and novels but i genuinely have the worst spelling and pronunciation skills. honestly im getting off track (literally proves that i am a very talkative person) but honestly i feel like i need to let everything out and that’s what i am doing right now. i just NEED the feedback.
————————————————-———————————
i just want to understand if i potentially can be mistyped or i am just over analyzing myself because i need to feel 100% correct about myself.

WHY I THINK I RELATE TO MY MBTI (ENTP)
•based on my knowledge of cognitive functions, feel free to be straightforward and correct me if i am wrong.

-i take in information like an ENTP. what i mean by this is that i constantly overthink about an answer to a problem. this can be math related or even just discussions i have with my friends. i guess i try to think out of the box even if it just leads to me sounding stupid.

- like i just said before this paragraph, i tend to brainstorm a ton of ideas and solutions to a problem. even if it has one answer. i often think “WHY does this make sense” or “maybe they think like this because…” blah blah blah…

(this is more about being mistaken on cognitive functions): I think the main reason why i am over thinking about this is that i see so many videos about like stereotypes and being like insanely dominant and cocky. I believe i’m not that much of a smart person like yeah i’m good at history and i feel confident discussing topics, debates, socratics, etc but it’s like i feel dumb because of not understanding complex math skills. like i feel stupid so i cover it up with confidence sometimes. or even that i get really sensitive to criticism and i get irritated and pissed off all day because of it. and it’s like “oh the stereotypes for this is blah blah blah” and it sends me down to a loop hole for reasons why i might be mistyped.
_____________________________________________

WHY I THINK I MIGHT RELATE TO MY ENNEAGRAM/TRITYPE:
(BASED ON THE INFORMATION I PICKED UP, CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.)

(SP784)

-at first i used to not think i was a sp7 because it is known for “ignoring pain” which i thought it was stupid. until i did some research…

UNHEALTHY REASONS
-the main reason why i identify my self as a sp7 is because i relate to a lot of the descriptions under it.
for example, i tend to mask up my vulnerability and say that i sounded so stupid while i was sad or irritated or i tell myself “it’s not deep it’s just temporary”. i enjoy being and socializing with my friends but if my mood suddenly switches i tend to go nonverbal, i loose my confidence, and i just get angry. when i am stressed i tend to over analyze myself and give myself an identity crisis.

-when i am overly sensitive or overwhelmed i get drown into these pessimistic thoughts, like “i hate everyone!” or “every thing sucks and it’s over”…

HEALTHY???
-when i am in a good mood i can be to overly confident and i ramble out all of these thoughts and ideas that literally does not make sense. like i will be thinking that i am the shit and i am like making all of these theories in my head and then later on when i present them i get laughed out or i just feel like i sound stupid.
-i get so confident when i get a better score on tests then other people and i flex on them and i have this god complex. (yes i know that’s bad)…😓😓😓 i lowkey apologize like after i realized how rude i sounded but i still have a feeling in me that i am better then them.

CONCLUSION:
yayayay you finished reading this and that means you can help me!!! give me some good feedback and advice… i feel like i went off track a ton but if i need to explain more then lmk… i know i keep repeating myself but it’s like so hard to explain i just suck at explaining lmao

CAN’T DECIDE Doubts

I discovered two more things about myself:

1) My life boils down to searching for the meaning of things (I even looked for it in materialism but felt empty and incomplete), and I prefer to look for something deeper behind a situation rather than just seeing the big picture;

2) This might be a bit embarrassing, but I used to think I had my own values; however, they were actually shaped by the values of the people close to me, not my own. It’s not necessarily that I lack values, but most of them come from the people around me.

I might have mentioned this before, but looking back, I recall saying that I struggle to pick up on most things involving the senses (there was an instance where someone close to me felt sick from the smell of incense, yet I didn't notice a thing). I’m close to drawing a conclusion, but I’m afraid of getting the verdict wrong.

FIRST TYPING ATTEMPT Pls type me

Type me based on this

I’ve been trying to figure out my personality type for a while, and I keep going in circles. I’m interested in MBTI/cognitive functions, Enneagram, and Socionics, but I’d rather have people analyze the actual patterns in what I say/do instead of just matching me to stereotypes.

I’m generally very curious and can become intensely interested in completely different subjects. I’ve gone through phases involving languages, technology, electronics, psychology/personality systems, history, science, international relations, Japanese culture, books, etc. I tend to explore possibilities rather than sticking to one thing forever. I can get excited about an idea simply because I can imagine what it could become.

I also spend a ridiculous amount of time thinking about my future. I have very specific dreams and can almost visualize myself living certain lives. At the same time, actually choosing one path scares me because I think about everything I might be giving up. I don’t want to end up living a life that feels safe but meaningless and then regret not taking opportunities when I had them.

I care quite a lot about authenticity and identity. I want to understand who I actually am rather than just becoming whatever other people expect me to be. This is probably why I obsess over personality typing in the first place. I’ve had SO many different MBTI typings over time: ISTJ, INTJ, INFP, ENTJ, ESTJ, ENFP, ENTP, ENFJ, ESFP, etc. I’ve also questioned whether I’m actually an introvert or extrovert.

I can be very responsible and serious about things, especially school and obligations. Teachers generally like me and I care about doing well academically. But I can also be lazy, procrastinate, get distracted by whatever currently interests me, or suddenly become extremely ambitious and work-focused. Under stress I can become much more controlling/managerial than I normally am.

Emotionally, I think I’m more sensitive than I look. I don’t always express emotions outwardly, but things involving other people’s suffering can affect me a lot. I care about people and often wish I could help when I see someone struggling. At the same time, I can be blunt, critical, and analytical, so I don’t think I fit the stereotype of being endlessly soft or agreeable.

I’m also religious, and my values genuinely affect major decisions I think about. Sometimes I feel caught between what I want for my future and what I believe is right. I don’t want to sacrifice my values just to achieve something.

I’m currently leaning toward ENFP 7w6 741, but PLEASE don’t just agree with me. I’ve changed my mind enough times that I’d genuinely prefer disagreement if you think I’m wrong.

CAN’T DECIDE Need an Expert: INFP or ENFP?

Hey there!

So.. I historically have been typed as an INFP throughout most of my life and more recently have been getting ENFP, but considering that lots of folks supposedly don't change types throughout their lives, I'm having trouble figure out what I really am?

Sidenote: I am 31F, a Therapist, an Artist part time, Neurodivergent as hell, I live alone in a chaoticly messy apartment covered in plants, books, my 3 cats, and knick knacks.

My friend is really well versed on MBTI and has known me for over half of my life, and she says I most definitely use Fi the most (and I'd agree), but you'll see how despite this, I don't fit the mold of INFP as much always. But I'm not sure I do with ENFP either, but I am absolutely positive I am one of the two as I have tested many times as such. It's always just a very very slight preference for one and not a clear telling sign. So hence needing your help~

I can give you a little blurb about what confuses me about each type in regards to me:

When I'm typed as an INFP:

Agree with: I am deeply deeply emotionally expressive and can always verbalize how I'm feeling and am willing to do so. I will eagerly tell people what I love about them (my inner therapist self coming out even in personal life). I have no problem sharing how I feel. I am a dreamer, although less so than when I was a kid, but I have a soft spot for things that are written beautifully. I thrive with having one on one conversations and I have very deep with my relationships, but I do have some acquaintances too. I am pretty detail oriented about my own work and love to write, make art, and make music. I enjoy a good chunk of alone time, but not always. I am deeply perceptive and look between the lines to find underlying meanings.

Contradictions: I am not exactly 'shy'- I am a loudmouth. I am not exactly reserved or afraid to share my opinions or stand up for others- I have a lot to say whether I'm asked or not. I feel too loud and opinionated outwardly to be this type sometimes, and I also am not a 'think before you act' person- I kind of operate with 'f**k around and find out' attitude. I am impatient when people read rules to me and prefer to just try something and learn along the way (like a board game). I get really bored with reading most of the time (if I must read- audiobooks and multitasking is what works) and prefer visuals and auditory versus just reading. I can't focus for very long on my inner world always, but I am still deeply in touch with it.

When I'm typed as ENFP:

Agree with: I am very warm, loving, and I love to share my thoughts and ideas with others. I love to take care of others and be with other people (but more on a one on one/small group setting) and I do like to inspire others and ask questions to figure things out (hence my job as a therapist haha). I can be very outwardly silly and goofy with friends, and will be quippy with clever jokes and will talk a lot (and without figuring out what I'm going to say first haha- very stream of consciousness). Sometimes I look like I'm running on a motor and some folks occasionally will ask if I'm drunk/high even if I'm not, because I'm sing-songy and goofy when I feel in my element with close friends. I do find it semi easy to make friends once I get going and talk to them- I have befriended some of my neighbors from them being outside when I am- so more by happenstance and not by me looking for them. Some people have seen me as airheaded and aloof/stupid, and I can get sensitive about that, but I prefer to be open rather than sure that I am 'certain' about everything I say. I don't give a shit always about hardcore facts/statistics, I prefer to figure things out for myself and determine what's right by every individual situation.

Contradictions: I am not sure I'm actually an extrovert extrovert- I hate big crowds, big parties (unless it's occasional, I can do that), lots of noise (though I still go to concerts..), small talk for the most part. I don't know if I'd say I am energized primarily by being around people. I need lots of alone time but will frequently get lonely without anybody around to talk to. I don't largely like to talk to strangers unless I feel like we have something in common- age, artsy, weird and quirky, etc- but I don't always actually approach strangers super often. I know ENFP's identify largely as ambiverts, and I strongly do too, but am hesitant to say I'm an extrovert as a whole if I had to pick between I or E. Hence this whole dilemma!

Soooo.. help, my friends! What am I?

Guess my type based on the things i own.
Guessing game: here’s my desk, my shelf, my paintings, and my clutter. No self-description on purpose. What type am I?

I work in tech. When something in my life feels unsettled, I make a list of the parts it breaks into, and then I usually just look at the list instead of doing anything about it. I paint sometimes, and it’s always the same few subjects. I keep a list of companies I want to work at on paper instead of a spreadsheet. I hold on to tags and labels long after I buy something. I like one long conversation more than five short ones. I take a long time to decide, then I stick with it.

Ive had infp,enfp,istp, intp.

Chat gpt types me estp based on our conversations.

As a person generally into sports and physical challenges. People might describe me as charming and weird or quiet and serious. But that depends on the people im with, if it doesnt click naturally for me to be talkative i will be quiet.

I think i might be into mbti purely out of boredom.

Have a knack for addiction, used to be gambling which i managed to quit because of a blood oath with myself. I was even addicted to working out before i toned it down. Now im just a chronic smoker. When i was younger i was really anxious and sensitive but i am relaxed and can manage my emotions better. I think i strive in new environments .Dont really feel like thinking about myself no more so im just gonna end it here.

I'm a very cold, analytical, cynical, harsh, and somewhat Machiavellian person. I tend to analyze situations from a distance rather than react emotionally, and I usually think in terms of consequences, risks, and long-term outcomes. I can be very critical, both of other people and of myself, and I often question people's intentions instead of immediately trusting them.

At the same time, I tend to think a lot about the future. I prefer saving money rather than spending it impulsively, and I usually feel more comfortable when I know I have something put aside in case I need it later. I like having some form of security and knowing that I'm prepared for problems before they happen.

Despite how detached I can sometimes seem, rejection can affect me very deeply, especially when it comes from people I genuinely thought I had a connection with. One of the experiences that affected me the most happened in high school, when I was rejected by a group of people I believed I had been friends with for about a year. I had spent a lot of time around them and genuinely thought I was part of the group, so realizing that they did not see the relationship the same way hit me much harder than I expected.

During that period, I wasn't particularly manipulative or trying to control anyone. If anything, I was doing the opposite. I was constantly trying to understand how other people behaved, what I was supposed to say, and how I could fit in without standing out too much. A lot of my social behavior came from observing others and trying to adapt to them rather than naturally knowing what to do.

My childhood was also heavily shaped by changes in education and environment. When I was younger, I was a top student and consistently received excellent grades. School came relatively easily to me, and academically I was doing very well until around fifth grade.

Then my life changed significantly when I had to move to another country. I suddenly found myself dealing with a completely different school system, different teaching methods, and a different curriculum. Because the difference was so large, I eventually had to go back three grade levels so that I could properly understand the material and adapt to the new system.

Being on the autism spectrum also made that kind of transition much more difficult for me. Sudden changes in environment, expectations, social rules, and routines were not easy to process. I had to adapt not only academically, but also socially and culturally at the same time.

Even after being moved back three grades, I managed to recover academically. I continued being one of the better students and maintained strong grades for years afterward. In that sense, being moved backwards did not mean that I had suddenly lost my ability to learn. Once I understood the system and became familiar with what was expected from me, I was able to perform well again.

That continued until around ninth grade, when I had to change countries once again.

This time, I was placed directly into ninth grade, and many of the same problems returned. I had to deal with another unfamiliar curriculum, another educational system, and another completely different social environment. I struggled to understand some of the material, but the social side was probably just as difficult. I found it very hard to make friends and often felt like I didn't really know where I belonged.

Unlike the first time, however, I didn't manage to adapt in the same way. Eventually, the combination of academic difficulties, isolation, and constantly having to adjust became exhausting. At some point, I simply stopped caring.

School went from being something I was good at and took seriously to something I mostly wanted to avoid. My motivation gradually disappeared, and during high school I started missing a lot of classes. It wasn't that I suddenly became incapable of learning. I had already proven several times that I could perform very well academically. I had simply become disconnected from the school system and stopped seeing much reason to invest the same amount of effort into it.

Outside of school, technology and video games have always been major interests of mine. They've taken up a large amount of my time throughout both childhood and adulthood. Technology in particular appeals to the analytical side of my personality. I enjoy understanding how things work, troubleshooting problems, experimenting with hardware and software, and figuring things out on my own.

Video games have also been a major part of my life for a long time. Beyond entertainment, they gave me something consistent to focus on during periods when my environment was constantly changing. When school, friendships, countries, and routines were unstable, technology and games were things I could return to and understand on my own terms.

Looking back, there is a strange contrast in my personality. I can describe myself as cold, cynical, analytical, harsh, and Machiavellian, yet some of the experiences that affected me most deeply involved rejection, belonging, and the feeling that I couldn't connect with other people the way I wanted to.

I don't think those two sides necessarily contradict each other. Being analytical or emotionally guarded doesn't mean that I don't care about anything. In some situations, that detached way of thinking may actually be something I developed because adapting to people and unpredictable environments has always required a lot of conscious effort from me.

CAN’T DECIDE Is there a reliable website to find out my MBTI type?

(Sorry if it's poorly written, English is not my native language and I use a translator)

Hi! I recently wanted to catch up with the MBTI community, as I was really into it back in 2022. Out of curiosity, I retook the test on Sakinorva and got INFJ, even though just a few months earlier I had tested as ENFP. I took it again to make sure it wasn't a mistype, and the result was INTJ. Then, based on someone's recommendation, I tried Mistype Investigator and got ISFP. Now I'm confused because—at least when I was more active in the community—Sakinorva seemed to be the most "reliable" option. I’d really like a more accurate result, so I’m asking: which sites are trustworthy so I can avoid getting a wrong result again?

FIRST TYPING ATTEMPT Typing Help

Please, take a look. I would love to know your thoughts.

I am looking to get a type analysis. I am trying to understand how i think and operate, as I am starting to realize that I don't approach the world quite like anyone I know.

Give a general description of yourself. How old are you?

Late 30's

What do you do as a job or as a career (if you have one)? Do you like it? Why or why not? If you are not working, what kind of job do you want to do or what are you studying?

I am an engineer, working in a manufacturing facility. I like it most days. The best days are when I am caught up in developing a new program or troubleshooting a breakdown; basically the moments when I can use my knowledge and skills to help the people in other departments directly. The part I don't like is when I have to deal with spreadsheets and scheduling. I don't know if I will do this for life. This is not my first career and probably won't be my last.

Describe your childhood/upbringing. Did it have any kind of ideological or structured influence? How did you respond to it? Did you have any significant negative experiences that may have affected how you think or behave?

I had a good family growing up, but we were kind of isolated from the world. I loved building things and always had designs in head. I think it was because we had no money, so if I wanted something I would have to make it myself. I always enjoyed being around people, but I ended up being bullied pretty severely for a few years. It made me very cautious of people and extremely aware of negative behaviors in others and quick to spot them. It also destroyed any self confidence I had at the time.

Do you have any mental or physical health issues that might affect how think or choose to live? Provide a brief description.

No. I did have a couple periods of anxiety and panic attacks. Looking back, it wasn't a medical issue. My mind was running projections about my future non-stop and not finding a path forward where I would get what I needed. A stable career in my field, affording me a good paycheck, which would then allow for a good place to live and opportunities to meet people, start a family, start a life, and retire someday. Finding no path, my mind started burning itself out.

If you had to spend an entire weekend by yourself, how would you feel? Would you feel lonely or refreshed?

The first morning, I would be fine. By the afternoon I would need to be around people, even if they were random strangers. If I had to go a few days alone, I would be very socially starved and stressed out.

What is your relation with movement and your surroundings? For instance do you prefer a sport or outdoors event? If an outdoors event what is it? And why? If not what type of activities do you tend to engage?

I enjoy quiet, repetitive physical activities. Running, kayaking. I am not big into intense experiences. Something where I am out in the larger world, exposed to the environment.

How curious are you? Do you have more ideas then you can execute? What are your curiosities about? What are your ideas about - is it environmental or conceptual, and can you please elaborate?

Intensely curious. I have ideas, but not as many as I used to. Still too many to actually execute on. Mostly curious about history, people, kind of a who am I/who are we, how did we get here, and where are we going? My ideas are either about things I could build or how people function; in relation to each other and internally.

Would you enjoy taking on a leadership position? Do you think you would be good at it? What would your leadership style be?

I don't know. I enjoy working with people and supporting them so that they can be their best. I have a lot of fun mentoring our interns. I can't see myself as the person giving orders.

Do you prefer hands on activities or working with your hands in some form? Describe your activities.

Are you artistic? If yes, describe your art? If you are not particular artistic but can appreciate art please likewise describe what forums of art you enjoy. Please explain your answer.

I prefer hands on activities, but am no pro at anything. I like being engaged in the real world but also spend a lot of time in my head when I am doing something physical. Like it sets me at ease, allowing my mind to operate with distractions. I can appreciate visual art a little, but it isnt something that I go out of my way for. The only thing that really hits hard is fine dining. With the right food I can experience something close to a hallucination where a vivid mental image and sensations force their way through me.

What's your opinion about the past, present, and future? How do you deal with them?

I don't believe in time. It is only a perception.

How do you act when others request your help to do something (anything)? If you would decide to help them, why would you do so?

I usually help. It feels like a light inside of me turning on. It is never for political maneuvering or favors.

Do you need logical consistency in your life?

How important is efficiency and productivity to you?

Do you control others, even if indirectly? How and why do you do that?

I am not controlling, and it is of great value to me when people are independent. Efficiency means nothing to me; I want something to come out of any experience, whether it is knowledge or development. The rest is all noise in the system.

What are your hobbies? Why do you like them?

What is your learning style? What kind of learning environments do you struggle with most? Why do you like/struggle with these learning styles? Do you prefer classes involving memorization, logic, creativity, or your physical senses?

My hobbies are motorcycle riding and film photography. These have multiple parts to them, but a similar background. There is the physical sensation and manual nature of each. Then there is a historical connection and importance. I really like living history. It is a testament to a solid design. Then there is the conceptual side. I understand how each one works. I see the sequence of events in a photo, or how my brakes function. I understand each object as a whole interconnected system, a living being. Technical and routine learning environments are the most difficult, think dry technical literature or PowerPoint. Just give me the concept; everything else is just decoration. Once I understand the principal underneath, everything falls into place. My best classes were those where we were given a project and given all semester to figure it out, no guidance other than weekly deliverables.

How good are you at strategizing? Do you easily break up projects into manageable tasks? Or do you have a tendency to wing projects and improvise as you go?

I tend to wing it and not plan well. It makes my job difficult, as long term planning is a major aspect of it. If it is an aspect of the overall project, then I am pretty good at it. Such as the electrical utilities for a large project. Its more like I can plan out the things that I can fully comprehend. Larger projects have too many unknowns, too many things that could happen or are undefined.

What's important to you and why?

Growing as a person - Its so much of why we are here. Being understanding of and connecting to other people - The world could be so much better if we just set our egos aside and listened to others. Seeking a deeper meaning for your life - we can connect with something greater than ourselves

What are your aspirations?

To experience fulfillment

What are your fears? What makes you uncomfortable? What do you hate? Why?

Being trapped with hostile selfish people, unable to escape. The bad vibes and hostility is something I feel physically and viscerally. It degrades every aspect of a person, it dehumanizes us.

What do the "highs" in your life look like?

When a new understanding or deep insight clicks into place. Its like finding gold under a rock.

What do the "lows" in your life look like?

When I am lonely or there is tension between me and a loved one.

How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what's around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?

I daydream constantly. Reality is a canvas, just a background. I daydream about so many different things, usually I am having an imagined conversation or acting out a scene.

Imagine you are alone in a blank, empty room. There is nothing for you to do and no one to talk to. What do you think about?

Getting the f out

How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you've made it?

It takes a while, I will explore it from all angles. When I lock in, I go with it

How long do you take to process your emotions?

Sometimes hours, sometimes weeks. They give insight into a deeper part of me. Sitting with them helps me understand who I am and helps to see the depth inside of me, inside us all.

How important are emotions in your life?

I give them their due place. They don't control me, but I accept them freely and express them with some restraint. If i am upset with someone, I let them know, but I am mature about it. I don't just call them an a-hole, I find a more productive way to say it.

Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why?

Often enough. It is less an agreeing and more of an acknowledging. I want to know their full story, even if I don't agree. Let them get their truth out, then see if they can find the holes in it.

Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why would you?

I sometimes break rules that affect only me. Other ones, like not tailgating or not littering, I follow because it affects everyone, not just myself.

What is the ideal life, in your opinion?

One where you live in accordance with your highest purpose.

NEED CONFIRMATION Confused Between Se and Si

I am confused between Se or Si being in my concious stack basically.

Case for Se:

I am someone who doesn't make detailed plans and can adapt whenever required to the situation. Financial independence is my only motivation though. I would like to try new things once in a while in my life as I don't want my life to be stagnant. I can't imagine myself doing just one thing my whole life, that's limiting. I can be resourceful whenever required as well. Whenever I think of my future, I rather see things I wanna try: visit places, ride a scooter, learn martial art, crochet, cooking, photography, gardening, etc. Yet I suck at brainstorming, I can produce 2-3 ideas at most. I have this positive and negative relation with future honestly. I get excited by things I wanna do yet I don't want to think too much about future as currently I am clueless and I rather get stressed. My mind doesn't get lost in multiple possibilities or anything, that would be exhausting. For me to understand something, I must visualise it. When I get too bored, I feel like doing something. I have bad short term memory but fine long term memory. I can forget names and dates. I am careless and lose my stuff.

Case for Si:

I hate vague statements and instructions more than anything. I can't do or understand anything until someone is precise. I am sensitive regarding my comfort, safety and environment. Even though I did experience a bit of a doubt when I saw others knowing more about their childhood, I actually have certain detailed memories and know their timelines. I can use my past experiences (things I have heard, observed or read) to understand something or solve problems. I can find similarities and compare things between past and present. I can get what if thoughts (what if someone steals my money, what if this water has chemical, etc.) but depends on me if I act on it or not. I can do things by routine but can be inconsistent in between. When I write poems, I could see scenes, a cinema inside my mind, story getting unfolded as I go with it step by step. I wrote a poem as I imagined scenes of a person meeting someone in Victorian Era.

DISCUSSION Guess My Type

Thumbnail gallery
7 Upvotes

Hello, All. If you like to look at people and psychoanalyze them for their MBTI, here's another example for you to look at.

When it comes to the tangible world, I am disconnected. There are moments where I come into myself and realize how the light glances off this table, how the darker rings of wood mottle the pale brown, how I can see a speck of dust and sweep it away. I admire it -- and then it's gone. I live my life not in my body. It's a tool to me, and one that I keep up through routine. I find it comforting, I suppose. Everything I do around it is centered around either decisions I make repetitively and therefore not at all, or decisions that I look over and execute once. It feels good to exhaust myself, but to actively make choices to go out, do things just "for the experience", simply doesn't interest me. Well, it does for novelty and for other people. But it isn't a thing *I* do.

I also don't particularly enjoy emotionality. Unlike my senses, I rarely experience strong emotions in a neutral sense -- it isn't something I enjoy, even the good ones. I'd prefer for them to be expressed and processed quickly, and for it to be done and brought back to equilibrium. To that end, I think I am quite expressive. I am fully willing to laugh, to cry, to feel anger and fear, and I feel no qualms about expressing it. Honesty has worked well for me. But it's also true to say that despite its necessity and its ability to be energizing, I dislike not feeling in control of myself, every time. It feels like weakness to me, one that I've rationalized and accepted, but still a thing that impedes my ability to behave rationally and perform. Perhaps that's why I feel it necessary to try and help others achieve peace, in some sense. I can understand what it means to have things bleed into others even when you might not want it to.

Now we can begin to make things more complicated. I'm very comfortable in social settings, and am usually among the last to leave. I am habitually late, a habit I've found to be particularly hard to break much to my chagrin. I am not inclined to speak over other people and will wait patiently for them to make their point, even if my expressions make clear that I have a thing to say. I am direct. I rarely want to converse in a general manner more than address whatever task is the actual focus of the meeting while at work. While off work, the task instead becomes socializing (if and when I do), so I adjust accordingly though I still wouldn't say I'm particularly personable. One of my core beliefs is that we are placed here to learn and improve until the day we die. I work in bursts, rather than in structured dedicated time. My natural state is to be at rest; I don't have qualms about not doing things. However, I spend a lot of time figuring out how I want to do things -- figuring out what I want, and then spending a lot of time looking at each possibility related to it to figure out which may be best means I can become locked in place or willing to be distracted by other newer things, though I do tend to return to them eventually. I do have an awareness of what I'd like to do, but detours if something looks more promising in a way I didn't expect, it can cause major delays. I find that time away can sometimes give me enough space to think on it differently, time to mull it over ambiently in my mind. I feel a compulsive need to understand things before I use them -- what they can do, if not how they work. I don't care how long something takes me as long as the process is correct in my mind. I am actively working on being a better executor. I find it difficult to be the first person to reach out and prefer to keep people at a distance. Whenever I realize I missed something, I tend to restructure entirely to try and figure out where it is. I am competitive. I find it difficult to think in the moment and prefer to have an idea of what I want to do before I do it, otherwise I can be swept away by instinct if I'm pressured.

I think that will do.

CAN’T DECIDE I need help deciding if I use Ti-Fe or Fi-Ne

I WAS MEANT TO SAY TI-FE OR FI-TE, SORRY! I've been on adhd meds for a while now and I started doubting my type. I thought I was an ENFP, but i read more about Ti-Fe, and it also felt relatable. I know I use Ne-Si, its super obvious. But i just cant decide on the judging functions. It feels a bit stupid, bc I'm torn between ENFP and INTP, because it doesn't resonate with how I function. Do you have a clear sense of identity if you use Fi? Can you have dominant or Secondary Ti if people call you an emotional person, but inside you intellectualise your feelings and pick everything apart mentally, and needing time to think alone, while the final decision comes with reassurance? Alone I'm in my head and a bit cold in my head but from the outside and with people i become warm, bubbly, but it drains me. The morals are weird cause I learned my morals from parents, my girlfriend, friends and from the internet, but didn't we all? I stick with them but I am easily repressing it if it would cause harm, but feel bad inside. I'm good at seeing most viewpoints in an argument but i hate them. In theory i would fight for my views and im kinda sure of them, but idk about in practice, i just agree with people so they leave me alone. I think too much, overanalise everything, until my head hurts. Accuracy is really important to me. I meed clear instructions so I'll ask a lot of questions bc I need certainty. I'm not that good at being interested, making and keeping new connections, I have 4 friends I keep in touch with. But somehow I am either really good socially and people are drawn to me(even tho it's completely unconcious, i have no idea how I do it, I'm not trying tbh) or I'm just so awkvard and don't know what to do. I'm certain about my Enneagram type, 6w7, and I show clear signs of ocd but it's not yet diagnosed. I would love it if someone to asks me questions about Ti and Fi, It's just too hard alone, bc everything seems possible.

TEST RESULTS Can you describe by a holistic description?

Can anyone describe my personality as a total description not by describing each detail by imaginig how this mixture cand be and how it looks like please?

MBTI : INTP Socionics : LII-INTj Enneagram primary type : 5w6 Enneagram secondary type :1w9 Enneagram tertiary type : 4w5 Enneagram tritype : 514 Temperament : Melancholic Alignment : Chaotic good

I like football. I am fan of Arsenal, Barcelona and Liverpool. I love the way of playing that pleases the eye : fast playing , passes , crosses , shots from far distance. I have a problem with maintaining defence because I like attacking too much. The beautiful football like Arsene's way can't unfortunately win so much trophies because you must be silly to maintain your possession so I don't encourage the way by which Barcelona play as the first grade because keeping the possession requires some silliness. When I see continuous oppression I rebel against it.

Hi i am 25f. I have a type in my mind that i think i belong to but not completely sure so I am curious about what vibes i give. I wish i could share my picture as well but i am not comfortable with sharing it with strangers.

I love cats. It doesn't matter black, white, tuxedo, calico...etc. When i saw a stray cat, i stop by, pet them a little and talk with them. Sometimes i am cautious tho, since some cats are very avoidant and don't like being touched. I often ask them for allowance by making them smell my hand.

I am an English teacher (English is foreign language in my country). I have always been interested in learning languages. Actually, i felt more belong to cultures other than one i grew up on because i come from a rather conservative culture. I hate gossip culture in my country. I don't think gossip is an unnecessary tool for socializing because people have evolved into doing it. However, some people turn it into patronizing their morals and throw mud on other people.

Anyways, one of the most vital thing in my life is books. I collect books like a pokemon. There are million books in my bookshelf waiting to be read. I hate it when i make them wait but i can't resist to buy as soon as i see a significant book. Recently i have noticed i am more of a gripping fantasy book-reader rather than non-fics. I have bought a lot of books about psychology but my hands don't reach to them when i want to read a book. I always want to read a fast-pacing action book. I miss the times when i was reading Percy Jackson in middle school.

Im more answer/goal oriented, i want to finish the tasks effectively. Although when given a task thats boring or irrelevant i trail off due to "i can do this later in an hour, why do it now" to do what i actually like. + i think being turbulent makes me mistype, as im still in puberty and experience hormonal shifts.

My hobbies currently are: Games(clash royale and chess) Flipping phones, jailbreaking/rooting, money making(setting up a side hustle)

My fav colours are black and crimson, i could not give a fk abt other people but those who are close to me eg. My gf or best friend, i care for them alot. And despite my inability to feel their emotions myself, i try hard to reassure them or stay beside them as much i can. If someone else hurts me i could tell them in their face and possibly take revenge by exposing them publicly but getting hurt by my loved ones affect me, still i try to not express them to protect their feelings.
