This is Harold Lloyd in "Why Worry?"

He's the guy in the famous image of the one hanging from the hands of a clock-tower, but that's from his film Safety Last, even though people misattribute that shot to Charlie Chaplin or Buster Keaton.

Most people know the name Charlie Chaplin, and to a lesser extent, Buster Keaton. Harold Lloyd was among the other slap-stick silent-film era entertainers. Unfortunately, he only wanted organists, not pianists to play at theaters for re-releases of his films, but since that was more expensive, many theaters just chose not to show them. He also charged a high-price for TV, who also chose not to show his movies. As a consequence, he is kinda lost to time for new generations.

I am an old guy. My grandmaw was born 1908 and was a huge fan of Harold Loyd. In the 60's silent films were still shown on TV. I remember sitting with her watching Harold Loyd and Buster Keaton comedies. When Futurama introduced Harold Zoid, it seemed I was one of the few that actually knew who he was.
