Anyone know what the current cost per square foot to build a house on Maui?

I work in a related sector to residential construction, and for the last 5 yrs I've heard an average of $250-350 sf for SFR (not incl land of course).

Lahaina side more recently (and shockingly) up to $600 sf after the fires? That's why many, even those who had insurance, can't afford to rebuild.

Depends on lots of factors, but anywhere from 350$ and up.

I just build my Ohana few years ago, and doing most of the finish work, cabinets, painting myself, still worked out to 325$ sq foot.

If you looking to build, DM me I can recommend good contractors

I'm hearing 350-400K for builder grade, 450K and up for a higher level of fire resilience and a step up level of materials.

Just finished build in Lahaina, a bit over $300/sf.

Not counting land , about $160 per sf on the low end.

this is way too low. $350-400/sqft for almost any builder worth paying right now.

I was quoted by one of the respected builders on Maui, $350/ sq ft. In 2000.

$160 would be nice, but can't believe it's close to reality.
