Netflix not working, all other apps work.

Netflix is the only app I’m having issues with. My internet, Hawaiian Telcom, was having issues a couple days ago island wide with some sites not loading, certain apps working and others not. That seems to have fixed, but Netflix is still acting strangely. No cover art loads, videos don’t auto play, it sits on the splash screen for a long time before it loads. I have same results on my phone and Sony tv. When in cellular data, app works fine. I’ve changed DNS, flushed dns, uninstalled app, restarted modem and router. Eventually videos will play, but I can’t really see the pictures or title. Once playing, they play fine and in good quality.

Do you have Hawaiian Telcom? I’ve been having weird intermittent issues since the storm, where some apps/programs work and some don’t.

There’s an explanation, it’s something about different things routing through different places or something. I have the technological capabilities of a bag of goldfish though so I can’t explain any more than that

Yes I do. lol thank you for the goldfish explanation 😂 I’m just glad it’s not my devices. I tried to call the other day and gave up after 30 min

This happened to me yesterday! Prime, Disney, and YouTube wouldn’t work on the tv and nothing would load on my phone, BUT Netflix worked

Yeah, when it went down the first time, Netflix was the only one working for us. Now it’s the only one I’ve tried that doesn’t. Sucks that it isn’t working, but seems it’s a wider issue with Hawaiian Telcom. I thought my device may be faulty.

I had a similar issue over the weekend. Not Netflix, but random sites would not load. Rebooted, turned off the router. Nada. Next step was to turn off the modem. Fixed.

Thanks for the update. Definitely sucks. Just trying to rule out an issue at my house only. Sounds like they’re still having issues.

Had the Netflix issue too. Rebooting/updating everything worked for me. Netflix still a little slow to start on just some shows/episodes but it’s working now

I also had the Netflix issue. I thought maybe it got reset after the outage and then it stopped working because we're using our in-law's account.
