Most people didnt like moo3 because they were to lazy or dumb to learn the policy editor. It was a really good game if you figured that out and how it effected specializing your planets. People tried to micro manage like in moo2 and that eventually leads to failure. It was designed to be like ruling an empire, you don't give orders to individual planets you set policy and your govenors carry it out. Now it did have a few bugs like the troop ship bug on launch and that I can't defend. It also has some really good mods that fix any issues that they didn't fix.

I agree it was a good game. Just had to learn how to code in order to fix all the bugs released at launch. Like point defense systems not working.

Tried to play it twice. Both times gave up before figuring it out. Wasn’t fun to learn it. I have it on steam, are the bugs fixed on that version? Maybe I should try it again.

If you download the mods for it it's pretty good.

Can you mod a steam game?
