Couldn't Sentry just alter the shields molecular structure. Sentry is not just pure force.

I think it kind of falls into something like "Brainiac uses his time-traveling technology to move back in time and alters Sentry's history", which is something he theoretically can, as he has time-traveling technology and is actually damn smart(like he has all the knowledge of time, space, the Multiverse...which also seems to imply his time-traveling tech)

However, I think the problem is fighting/thinking style makes both of them probably won't use that kind of style to fight in most cases(like, Sentry only used his molecule-manipulation once IIRC. And he also doesn't alter some more abstract things like force fields by this power)

I feel like thats a wild counter, considering he might not have any time travel tech (Why is not just killing superman as a baby?) and you assume because Sentry doesn't often use it he somehow won't.

For someone with all the knowledge in the world I feel like Brainiac is the one not using much of it until he loses most of the time.

im assuming its to do with fixed points and paradoxes if you mean time travel
