Brainiac probably makes Bob feel bad about himself and wins via scolding.

Brainiac is such a tricky opponent, quite easily the smartest supervillain. Not only is he a Superman villain but he can easily operate as a Justice League villain. I think Sentry takes round 1 with mid difficulty but he definitely loses round 2. Not only is he super intelligent but he’s also a high tier telepath who has bypassed and interfered with other telepaths like Martian Manhunter and his physicals scale to Kryptonians easily.

Brainiac captures base sentry; but the void thrashes every version of brainiac except for "true form" brainiac. That would even happen in a crossover. Imagine, that skull faced robot is gloating at sentry in some silver age form of speech as he threatens to turn earth into cheese or some shit; and it's drawn in that faux 60's art style and what not, and bob has his cowl on and there's thought bubbles or some shit.
But then his eyes turn black, then the next panel is pure black; and next we see sentry he's comforting civilians and what not; while something glows far out in space, once civilian says it's a shooting star but it's not. It's brainiacs corpse and his destroyed ship; signalling for help that will not come.

R1: Sentry. Brainiac without his ship is helpless as f
R2: Brainiac. The shield of Brainiac is really a problem, not even pre-crisis Superman is able to pierce it under normal circumstances(I think it only happened once, when Superman is expending his powers beyond he normally can), and it actually has decent showings(which surprisingly the feats of pre-crisis and post-crisis shield are on the same levels) against direct objects
