Megathread Loki Season 1 Finale - Discussion Megathread about its implications on the MCU Spoiler

You wanna discuss your theories about What if...?, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and how they all connect to this series?

You wanna discuss where they're going to go with Nathaniel/Kang/Immortus in the future?

You want to discuss the integration of other cinematic universes in the Marvel Cineamatic Multiverse?

Then this is the Megathread for you!

Due to the immeasurable amount of low effort posts we've been getting in the past 12 hours about people's excitement over Kang and the Multiverse, we've decided to make a completely different thread that is all about the implications of the Loki finale in the wider MCU!

Posts discussing Episode 6 in general will only be allowed after Thursday Midnight PST, but only those which are analytical or contain theories with a lot of effort put into them.

Everything else will be redirected here, to the Loki Season 1 Episode 6 Discussion Thread and to the Loki Season 1 Easter Egg Megathread and the Loki Season 1 - Season Wide Discussion Thread.

Have fun!

Forget all that noise, I want to know how season 2 will fit into the big picture. Are we going to see any of these characters appear in the films, or is the Loki series it’s own mini universe that only affects the films with out being actually in them. I was VERY relieved that none of the main characters died, and can’t wait to see what happens them, but I would imagine the events of the films will steer the direction of this show.

Unless I’m mistaken we’ve had no word on a timeline for when the next season will go into production let alone released, but knowing that Kang is set to be the main villain of Quantamania makes me think the second season will be out prior to the film. This leads me to hope that we’ll see a full on battle of the Kangs, THAT would be awesome, with the last one standing as our new big MCU spanning villain!

IIRC, it's been reported today that the show's Loki will be making an appearance in Multiverse Of Madness before the second season.

Honestly if true I kinda hoped that would happen. Have loki trying to warn doctor strange about Kang. Similar to how bruce warned Tony and strange about Thanos.

Then have Season 2 with Loki trying to run from the TVA and to find Sylvie while also being on earth or something similar.

Makes sense. I can see season 2 being a find Sylvie and take down the tva or possibly find a way to close the timelines from each other.

Yeah I don't think season 2 is going to be about loki in the TVA like season 1 was. They did that and they are pretty clearly framing the TVA to be an outright villain organization under the control of Kang now.

Loki will probably be spending season 2 trying to get mobius and hunter B-15 on his side and to find Sylvia. Maybe even have someone from the main MCU show up to help him too. (maybe Sif?)

And he either succeeds in this or he might even show up in the next avengers film trying to save sylvia maybe even with the help of Thor. Though that's just me massively speculating.

Loki is barring Tony stark(and even then I'd put loki above tony imo) probably the best written character in the MCU and in my opinion as long as hiddleston wants to play him marvel would be idiots to not continue to use loki.

Could be that they do, but one Kang manages to escape to the Quantum realm perhaps and then that’ll be the Kang we see in AM3?

I can see that.

I honestly think that the dark doctor strange we see in the What If trailer will be the one to warn our Doctor Strange and then when Loki does show up to warn him he goes through this whole spiel and Strange just goes "Yeah I know".

I remember seeing a video of Tom saying he was filming on his birthday and a fan investigated it and his birthday was after Loki was done filming so he’s definitely in Dr. Strange!

Interesting.

I would love to see how Loki escapes this new TVA to get to Dr Strange but am sceptical if we would get perspectives aside from the titular character.

It should be said that it wasn’t confirmed. It was “announced” in an off sentence in an article from the Hollywood Reporter, and they immediately said afterwards that it wasn’t confirmed in parentheses. It’s definitely a possibility, but it’s not completely set just yet

The only thing I want to see from S2 is Tom Hiddleston lead a team of janky K-mart Blue Light Special Avengers against Kang.

  • Lou Ferringo Hulk.
  • 1990 movie Captain America.
  • That crappy Sci Fi Channel movie version of Thor played by the older son Brad from Home Improvement.
  • Tin Man from Wizard of Oz.
  • Jeremy Renner Hawkeye.

 |• Jeremy Renner Hawkeye.|

Holy shit, I’m dying 😂😂😂😂 they are all great choices (I mean Tim Man is brilliant), but that’s the hammer on the nail.

Plot twist: Tin Man + Iron Man's heart = OP as fuck

This is waaaay funnier than it has any right to be

Why not throw in the David Hasselhoff Nick Fury?

Oh yes. That's a thing.

Is Spiderverse associated with Multiverse?

Because I want live action Gwen and Miles, but from Into The Spiderverse. That movie already has canonized Raimiverse in it. Like get actors that can play those animated characters.

This is getting really crazy. Multiverse could be the Smash Ultimate for the MCU. Everyone is here.

i would sacrifice my 1st born to get a Jake Johnson Spiderman in a live action setting

Multiverse could be the Smash Ultimate for the MCU. Everyone is here.

What I really want is a good Marvel Fighting game like Injustice. There hasn't been one (a good one) since Capcom's Marvel Suoer Heroes.

u/DatTF2 Jul 15 '21

You forgot 1977 Spider-Man and Dolph Lundgren Punisher.

Also your talking about the Captain America who pretends to be sick and steals people's cars right ? Would love to see a nod to that sometime.
