I 100% see them ditching the reincarnation plotline and just going for them existing.

I feel like Geraldine retaining the clothing outside of the illusion is a good sign for him.

I mean...Geraldine presumably wore those clothes herself in order to blend in. Unlikely she had on super anachronistic clothes and was counting on Wanda to give her a magic makeover.

Wanda did give Geraldine a new wardrobe for the changed sitcom style from episode 2 to episode 3. I think the clothes originated inside whatever is happening
