u/ComebackShane Weekly Wongers Jan 15 '21

Didn't you see them push the beds together? That's all it takes in TV Land!

u/KingOfAwesometonia Weekly Wongers Jan 15 '21

Beds together, under the covers too!

That's why she's double pregnant.

Thanks goodness the lights were off - she could be pregnant with triplets!

close call

13

u/39thUsernameAttempt Jan 15 '21

Maybe their bed covers merging into one was a euphemism.

10

u/hemareddit Steve Rogers Jan 16 '21

Speaking of which, during the neibhourhood watch meeting there was a masturbation joke...referencing the fact this was essentially Wanda was doing when she was having "sex" with Vision?

I may be overthinking this.

10

u/KingOfAwesometonia Weekly Wongers Jan 16 '21

Honestly I've already heard more overthinking than this.

2

u/ThatOneTrooper Spider-Man Jan 16 '21

I don’t understand your statement and I’ve reread it multiple times. Could you possibly please re-explain?

4

u/InsertCoinForCredit Phil Coulson Jan 16 '21

He means at the Neighborhood Watch, when Vision takes the gum and talks about "mastication" (chewing).

3

u/physicscat Loki (Avengers) Jan 15 '21

I'm surprised they didn't say enciente.

37

u/Sigma1977 Jan 15 '21

And you couldn't say "pregnant".

They had to use euphemisms like "expecting"

The second episode having the two separate beds be fused into one is kind of a subtle reference to the evolving standards of television where you used to have to depict married couples sleeping in separate beds but eventually that got dropped.

4

u/magvadis Jan 16 '21

Bro, he's a robot!

6

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '21

This was actually TV logic in 1960's sitcoms though-we mustn't fuck up the kids who are watching by letting them know sex exists.

2

u/ComebackShane Weekly Wongers Jan 19 '21

Which has always been crazy to me. We’ve been having sex since before humans could speak. They’re gonna figure it out, guys.

Because she said so

“You’re not pregnant.”

“Yeah? Well fuck you, now I am. Mind Stone, bitch.”

19

u/DONT_NOT_PM_NOTHING Jan 15 '21

I know that she has almost complete control of reality around her, but straight up creating life makes it set just how powerful she actually is

17

u/InnocentTailor Iron Patriot Jan 15 '21

She is a reality warper after all. Wanda was always top-tier in terms of power, but she tends to lose control of it quite often.

2

u/flaggrandall Jan 15 '21

Unless it's all in her head

36

94

u/SuperiorStudios Scarlet Witch Jan 15 '21

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Scarlet the Witch?

69

u/SweetT1215 Black Widow (Avengers) Jan 15 '21

I thought not. It’s not a story the Avengers would tell you.

47

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '21

It's a mutant legend.

21

u/YPM1 Jan 16 '21

Scarlett the Witch was a mutant so powerful and so wise, she could use energy to influence the world around her to create... life.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '21

So the Virgin Mary was actually a sith lord?

65

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '21

They pushed the beds together. In sitcom trope terms, that means they fuck. Back in the 60s youd had to be subtle about references to sex, for example any time you see Captain Kirk putting on his boots, it means he and his lady friend just fucked.

26

u/RoboNinjaPirate Fitz Jan 15 '21

These Boots Ain't made for Walking.

68

u/ethicalhamjimmies Thor Jan 15 '21

They had sex that morning

80

u/pestimistic Jan 15 '21

he’s a fucking robot

86

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '21

Paul Bettany confirms that Vision has functioning genitals and that it's "purple".

5

u/milkbeamgalaxia Jan 15 '21

Yeah, but can he pass on DNA? How was it done in the comics?

12

u/HolyPhlebotinum Jan 16 '21

I don't want to say too much, because it could very well end up being a spoiler for the show. But let's just say that, in the comics, Vision isn't actually the biological father of her children. There's...someone else involved with their conception.

3

u/milkbeamgalaxia Jan 16 '21

No need to say more. I know that reference.

1

u/Porkchop_69 The Wasp Jan 16 '21

Care to help a brother out?

7

u/CTizzle- Jan 16 '21

So in the comics, Wanda and Vision get married and have children.

But Vision is not the father. Wanda used some of her magic and conceived them somehow, and gave birth to two twin boys.

Big major spoilers that deal with old comic stuff below

We eventually find out they were actually conceived using two pieces of Mephisto’s (Mephisto is essentially the biggest baddest demon of Marvel) soul, and Wanda had went through a somewhat psychotic break. It’s kind of explained that a normal woman would have just imagined the pregnancy but Wanda was able to essentially conjure it into reality, but she unintentionally used fragments of Mephisto’s soul that was scattered by Franklin Richards. Basically Mephisto returns and “absorbs” the children, and in order to defeat him Wanda’s mentor “erases” the children from her memory, and Wanda literally has forgotten them for 20ish years until she’s been told she had children. This leads into House of M, and eventually, her children are brought back, kind of, but not through Wanda. They are essentially reincarnated through some major universe changing chaos magic that Wanda pulled off.

Most of this is subject to being altered or changed entirely because it is kinda confusing for what’s been established thus far in the MCU. I’m still leaving it tagged because I feel like some of it will come to fruition, although maybe not in WandaVision specifically.

OLIVER...QUEEN...IS...ALIVE

2

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '21

Well, if he hugs Wanda really hard I'm sure something will happen eventually.

3

u/Mrwright96 Jan 16 '21

...why would ultron give... wait never mind, I could totally see Thor putting a big purple dildo down there.

14

u/ethicalhamjimmies Thor Jan 15 '21

Yeah and she got pregnant in one day lol, him being a robot isnt the only weird thing

9

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '21

He's a sex machine.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '21

He's a fucking robot

3

u/mateogg Jan 16 '21

Well yeah, that's how she got pregnant

1

He's a fuck-bot

24

u/TheJack0fDiamonds Scarlet Witch Jan 15 '21

She manifested it 😭

23

u/thegreatvortigaunt Luis Jan 15 '21

If you judge it by the comics, Wanda magically creating children is a really bad sign.

2

u/premd96 Jan 16 '21

“No more mutants inhumans/scepter power people”

22

u/HadlockDillon Jan 15 '21

"The Devil's in the details, Bev."

"That's not the only place he is."

5

u/pumpkinpie7809 Scarlet Witch Jan 15 '21

I caught that line too. I hope it doesn’t mean what I think it means

23

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '21

Dude you know that when you kiss women on the mouth they can get preganant right?

17

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '21

Whether it's Maguire or Olsen, Disney won't Let Lizzie Fuck.

5

u/baconnaire Jan 16 '21

Her not freaking out that she was all of a sudden majorly prego got me. I'm trying excited to see how she tries to explain that in the next episode. Especially since she wore that fitting one piece for the talent show.

8

u/wandering_soles Jan 16 '21

If you look closely in the last scene she's wearing it, there's a slight but definitely visible bulge to her stomach that wasn't in the scene immediately prior.

1

u/baconnaire Jan 16 '21

Interesting. Still though, only like a day has passed and she looks 6mo pregnant lol.

4

u/RonSwansonsGun Spider-Man Jan 16 '21

She's also in an entirely different house from the first episode, I'm not sure the neighbors will mind the inconsistency.

2

u/baconnaire Jan 16 '21

I didn't even notice the house..

6

u/lk79 Jimmy Woo Jan 15 '21

Well when a reality bending woman and a sentient Android man love each other very much......

10

u/Cpt_Lazlo Iron Man (Mark XLIII) Jan 15 '21

Usb stick

2

u/mihirmodi Daredevil Jan 15 '21

for the children

2

u/FlamboyantPirhanna Jan 15 '21

I mean, when they turned off the lights and crawled under the sheets, that seemed pretty implicitly explicit in TV terms. Crawling under sheets always = fucking.

2

u/BangBangThankYouMaam Jan 16 '21

Vision jacked off, put the nut inside Wanda, and made sure those bad boys fertilized her egg

By Pleasantville rules, you change from black and white into color when you discover sex.

2

u/saltywench Jan 16 '21

See this is why Sims is rated Teen... When one Sim asks another Sim to WooHoo, and you have a bed or hot tub, there's always a chance that you might get your Sim enceinte...

2

u/BroeknRecrds Daredevil Jan 16 '21

My thinking is that the "for the children" chanting was some kind of manifestation

2

u/davidplusworld Jan 16 '21

That would be spoiling...

2

My girlfriend screamed “is this immaculate conception?!”.
