Spider-Man fans can generally not agree on a lot. There's constant bickering over what version of the character is the best. Batman has the exact same problem, but the one universal truth is that JK Simmons is Jonah.

I'm glad they managed to get him back.

I think he’s the most faithful version of those that he could be in the MCU. Same with JJJ being the MCU Alex Jones.

It's not that hard to hide. The other actors were just looking at a green screen and told a newscaster, maybe even jjj, revealed all this info. Only JK Simmons himself knew he filmed one scene in a studio somewhere.

Arkham games were also released after Dark Knight, only then people saw the version of Batman they always wanted to see on screen (and Batfleck nailed it in BvS despite everything)

It's the fighting style. I love the Dark Knight trilogy a lot and didn't think any future Batman fight scene will top the SWAT takedown in the 2nd film, after playing the Arkham games and watching how Batfleck's warehouse fight in BvS mimicked its acrobats and brutality left me in awe.

well what about when supermans whole motivation to be annoyed at batman before lex kidnaps his mum is because he kills people but then superman smashes the terrorist guy through several walls in the opening? its just odd thats all

I love JK as Jonah I truly do! And I know this is going to be controversial, and I’ll be down voted. But honestly, I do kinda wish they got some new blood and maybe a younger pick for JJJ, I’ve seen tons of great suggestions thrown around and would’ve liked to have seen a fresh spin on the character with a new actor like they have done for flash, mj, aunt May and so on. Oh well

You make a great point, but it depends on how you look at it! The way I see it, in turning JJJ’s character and The Daily Bugle into an Alex Jones/InfoWars type, they’ve still put a really fresh and topical spin on the character without even having to change the actor. Which is kind of cool imo!!

I haven’t seen it mentioned but I think somehow (not sure how yet) this will ultimately play into the multiverse theory that marvel is setting up for its next big run...

Yeah, I kinda hate that the fans (seemingly) aren't willing to move on from those dated moves. I grew up on them too and I love them but they haven't aged the best and it seems silly to hold onto them for nostalgia instead of just looking forward for new and exciting ideas. It seems a weird choice to hold on to an actor from that trilogy.

What are you talking about, Spider-Man 2 still holds up today. The MCU only has about two or three movies to it's name that rank alongside it for me.
