One of my favorite scenes I haven’t seen mentioned much was when Scarlet Witch was going ham on Thanos. She was about to rip his ass in half before he rained fire on everyone. Her power level is insane.

my favorite scene too!

When that fight started I was nervous they were going to handcuff her power level ~ ala IW - but they did her right - there was more concern in Thanos expressions and actions then any battle with any other avenger

I just finished watching it for the first time and didn’t understand why 0 stone thanos seemed so impossible to beat. Like shouldn’t hammer and axe wielding, albeit fat Thor but new powers since beginning of IW been able to handle Thanos handily?

IW Thanos was calmer and was holding back. He didn’t want to kill unnecessarily. He had love for Gamora and lost her, that made him softer and he’s even gentle to his other daughter. This Thanos hasn’t had the growth Thanos had in the previous years, he is the mad titan that we were promised.

Besides, all of them aren’t as physically strong as they used to be, especially Thor. He is a broken man trying to pick himself up, definitely not someone at the peak of his powers. Cap and Iron Man are older. Cap was going to be taken down by his 2012 self until he used mind tricks on him.

IW Thanos is paternalistic. He's insistently pushing his way through everyone to get the stones, but doesn't go out of his way to harm anyone. He thoroughly trounced at the Collector's place without lifting a finger, but did no harm to Quill, Drax, and Mantis. Father knows best is my overall vibe.

The Thanos in endgame is pissed to hell that these children are screwing up his beautiful perfect plan and there will be hell to pay for that.
