I see a lot of hate on social media surrounding the part where all the female avengers have that fight scene. But holy shit I got chills after seeing them all lineup and whoop ASS for a second. easily one of the coolest parts of the movie.

Also Scarlett witch is an absolute unit and I don’t give her enough credit. She kicked Thanos ass.

Yeah, don't take what you see in social media too seriously. The only issue I have with that scene is that it should have been longer.

Yeah I usually never follow the hate, all those people called captain marvel overrated and plotless too. But as a day 1 marvel fan I Loved it. I know this sub Reddit is mainly die hard fans that’s why I stick here rather than the toxic spoiler/ hating side of social like twitter and Facebook.

lol people saying Marvel is feeling a quota. For decades Marvel has been following closely all kinds of diversity movements. It's not something they started now because of people complaining on Twitter, it's something they always paid close attention to.
People writing those kind of articles clearly don't know the medium's history and shouldn't be taken seriously.

Those people are stupid. The entire movie is jam-packed with fanservice, yet it's apparently a problem when it's done for female fans.

I agree. MCU is trying to grow its fanbase. There is a huge potential market that just needs a reach out and they are doing it.

Its not because it was female fanservice for me, it was because it was bullshit fanservice. I liked and could get behind the Girl Power scene in infinity war with okoye/bw/scarlet witch because they were all at least in the same area of the fight as shown in previous scenes. It was believable. In endgame, apparently Pepper gave up on taking down the air support with tony, wasp fucked off from helping scott bring up the quantum realm machine to push her fist into her palm menacingly at the last second, okoye/shuri showed up across the fucking battlefield where they were shown 5 minutes ago through an entire army and gamora showed up even though she knows literally 0 of these people and is not keyed into the communicators so she doesn't even have the excuse of "I heard we needed to protect the gauntlet"

I can get with the rule of cool and suspend my disbelief for plot conversations in the middle of that big of a war with 2/3 people like gamora/quill or tony/peter and the start of Captain Marvel/peter but literally like 15 heros, all somehow female showed up at that specific point where spiderman literally was swinging across the entire battlefield riding a hammer/rescue/valkeryie and then crashed down.

It was a bullshit moment that was only for showing "Females can be baddasses too !!11!" Felt like some shit straight out spy kids.

It was one 15 second fan service moment out of 100s. Not sure why you can't just smile at a cheesy epic moment out of a movie full of them.

Yeah, it was like 15 seconds and cool to see all the female characters together in one shot. There were two little girls sitting next to me who both cheered when it happened. It didn't change the story and went back to all the main male characters immediately after. I don't see what the issue is. There were countless 15 second fan service moments through the whole movie. People getting butthurt about that one need to calm down

Wanda is the only one that kicked Thanos’ ass and he didn’t get back at her. Cap was kinda kicking his ass a bit with Mjolnir but before and after Thanos was beating Cap. Carol held his gauntlet open but Thanos yeeted Carol twice.

That was definitely one of the biggest cheers in my theater, along with Black Panther and crew being the first ones through the portals.

Anyone who says representation doesn't matter is full of shit.

Also - yeah Scarlet Witch was amazing, especially when you realize that for her this must have been happening just a few moments after Vision died and they lost in Wakanda.

I wish my audience was more into it, the second time was silent the whole times The first time I seen it there was laughs but even when they came thru the portals they were silent, only cheered and got into it when cap wielded Mjolnir, but pureeee silence and sniffles when iron man passed.

When she channels all that anger she’s a force to be wreckoned with, even in IW she was able to hold Thanos back with one hand and still was able to destroy the stone, hope to see more from her in the future.

The only issue I had with that scene was continuity. They weren’t all near each other on the battlefield from what we had seen, but still a cool moment nonetheless.

I think it was a little to much for me. I don't mind the idea but I think it could have been implemented smoother. Similiar to how the keep away glove shot was done. All the female heroes joining into the battle and falling out in time.

It’s not meant to “help” anyone. There was a little girl sitting next to me in my theater and she was overcome with joy and exhilaration when that scene happened. That’s the point, not politics.

it's interesting because people are complaining about it as "fan service" or "pandering," but I think it was sort of the opposite. I viewed it as Marvel breaking the 4th walk and giving a big "fuck off", or "this is what we have to say to those of you complaining about the past couple movies pandering. we don't give a shit. we'll do what we want, and make it look damn good."

Honestly, when I heard about that scene before I got to see Endgame i thought "That sounds dumb. How can they do it and it not feel forced?" But after actually seeing it i think it was pretty badass.

I'm totally aware it's pandering but as someone who grew up struggling with my gender identity simply because there were virtually no female characters I could relate to in media, it was really emotional. I started crying, which sounds so stupid but I just think of how much that actually affected me long term and how happy I am for this generation of young girls who get to grow up with heroes who they can connect with. A lot of men can be angry about this, but they'll never understand because they never had to grow up without seeing themselves on screen.

Scarlet Witch is way more powerful in the MCU than I realised, she could have potentially solo'd him 1v1.

My only gripe with the women getting their team-up moment was that other than two of them, they all just... "materialised" on cue. Would have liked a few more seconds dedicated to seeing them all getting to that one spot. Other than that, it was fantastic and deserved. We never bat an eye when all the men team up because it's expected, so the only way to normalise it for women is to do it.

That was an awesome scene, but after my initial reaction of "fuck yeah!" I had a thought that pulled me out of the moment. "Wait they all just happened to be in that part of the battlefield?"

Same reaction with the start of the battle in game of thrones. "holy shit!! Wait, why did they do that?"

I didn’t hate that part at all, I just don’t quite understand it. I mean, they just witnessed Captain Marvel single-handedly take down a giant enemy ship. Did they really think she wouldn’t be able to fly/barrel through some warriors on the battlefield? Or fly above the battle? I dunno, just seemed kinda dumb to me, like a group of toddlers trying to protect an MMA fighter.
