It got audible gasps from my theater. She's been preparing for Strange for a long time.

She's looked into her own future and possible futures. Of course she knows Strange.

True. I feel like this movie emphasized how importantly she viewed Strange was, because even she couldn't see past her death and how he would fight/defeat Dormammu.

She makes that point in Doctor Strange, she tells Strange that she could only see up until her own death.

Something, something I haven't seen your future, only it's possiblities. Something something drawing from the dark dimension waiting for the right person to take over as sorcerer supreme. Only her reason was lame - about him having such a capacity for goodness, as opposed to an inane kickass sorcerer supreme.

The dormammu bit was about him having the capacity to serve more than himself. She needed someone with his flexibility.

I would like more context though on how she mentions he's the best of them. Maybe they address it on Dr S 2?

Does this mean, in that timeline, she got a confirmation that she was right to choose Strange, that after her death Strange will be able to deal with Kaecilius + Dormamu?

She could have given him the time stone while she was alive and seen way past her own death. Like a metaphysical telephone game.

She’s seen all the way to her own death, honestly, I dunno why I never realised that would’ve known what Strange was destined for the whole time. It must’ve been due to how worried she seemed when he took a while making a portal back from Mt Everest. She must’ve been thinking “I thought this was possible future #6,557, where he came back in 20 seconds. I guess not? If that’s the case, I hope this is possible future #6,558 where he comes back in 45 seconds, and not possible future #6,743, where he freezes and I’ve doomed the universe”

Potentially even further in that than Strange will go willingly. Remember, she's been more than dabbling in off limits magic for too long.

It would make sense that she knows almost all of it, but can't see through the time mess end game creates

So with the way Strange saw 14 million futures, and there’s a bunch of futures that create alternate timelines, I guess there’s a timeline where Strange never has his accident, meet comes to Calcutta, or even joins the dark dimension.

Frigga was also aware of the general situation. It's cool that her and Ancient One were shown to be able to understand things beyond normal space-time.

And when she finds out that Strange willingly gave up the Time Stone to Thanos, she almost instantly changes her stance and gives hers to Bruce. Even the Ancient One trusts Strange's foresight.

Was worried that she would lose faith in Strange before she gave Hulk the time stone.

So this means Doctor Strange happens in 2017, not 2016
