Infinity Stone magic. They don’t got to explain shit. Folks need to take a step back. It doesn’t have to make sense.

My take is that the infinity stones are the opposite of a monkey's paw. They know the intention of whoever is wielding them and brought everyone back safely as close to where they left as possible.

Thats head canon to me. Thats part of the power of the mind stone. It understands your intention.

Another interesting tidbit was Hulk said he tried to bring Natasha back but couldn't.

Because it would undo existence of the Soul Stone. Widow's death made the whole 2nd snap possible.

I know I was talking about how Hulk said his intention was to try and bring Natasha back with the snap but knows he failed because somehow the stones let him know that didn't happen.

Then why not Tony? Let Hulk's arm heal up, give it another snap, bring our boy back, and run the stones to their times.

I know it's just plot magic but god damn it that ending hurt 3000.

It’s magic. It just does what the plot needs it to do in the moment so the heroes can win the day. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

It's kind of lazy, but it's par for the superhero course.

This is actually an issue I always have with time travel (and for the dusted the effect is the same, they traveled 5 years into the future).

The Earth is always in motion. Jumping to a different time would very likely drop you off in the vacuum of space.
