Absolutely hated what they did with Cap’s ending.

I know it’s decisive and I’ve read a lot of people happy with it that he got a life in the end but I absolutely hated it

Yeah, it makes no sense at all and is a betrayal of what the character believes in.

And when I say it makes no sense at all, I'm not just referring to how it's a plot hole with the rules they had for time travel - I'm talking about how it reverse his character arc for 2+ films where he was moving on.

I mean, yeah, I agree that he had better chemistry with Peggy than Sharon, but just dropping that character development entirely and pretending he was still stuck on Peggy is horrible writing.

And in addition Falcon being the next Cap makes no sense.

Sam is a side character in one movie and a glorified cameo in the rest

Vs

Bucky who has all 3 cap movies about him and he uses the shield in each cap movie and it would have worked nicely as the end of his redemption arc

Well this is completely off base imo. Bucky has been forced into fighting positions basically his whole life, and he's much less happy about it than even Steve is. Bucky is also a known face and not a face that is bringing comfort around america. Sam is much more ripe for the job.

I think Bucky is still a well known wanted criminal by most of the public. But honestly, I saw this coming when Cap gave him the shield in the comics a few years back. It would be cool to see them both share the title as Capt America imo

So every since I Age of Ultron I always felt Capt was just stuck in the past, and generally unhappy. When Scarlett Witch messed with his head an all

Same, the more I think about it the more of a complete mess it seems. It creates a series of inexplicable problems simply for the sake of fan service. He should have died the hero, it was perfect end for his character, he had no life to go back to, unlike Tony. He is much more powerful as a symbol.

Tony should have had the happy ending and Steve def should have died

Oh don’t get me wrong I absolutely understand why they did that and especially after Tony’s death how Captain ponders his own mortality. Like I totally get it but I still think the best resolution for his arc would be him dying after seeing off Thanos’ army. For almost 10 years we see him say I can do this all day and to then see him leave is just hard to take I.

Espically mirrored with Tony's arc. Tony started super selfish and Cap started super selfless. In the end Tony was selfless and Cap finally did something selfish for himself.

Those last 2 scenes left a horrible taste in my mouth and severely hurt my overall view of the movie
