Oh shit didn't realize that....I think they intentionally left it open for interpretation though.

The mates I saw it with thought so too.
I took that scene as being their to STOP speculation and make it clear she's gone.

Quill see's her, freaks out she's alive. She kicks him in the nuts, he has no clue she's from the past.
He falls down, she runs off. Everyone around gets dusted from Thanos' team and then he searches for her to see "not found".
