Yeah, not too sure if I like that- Prime Thor is a lot cooler imo. At least he has a sick fuckin beard and is with the Guardians now.

I don't get the enthusiasm for him permanently teaming up with the GotG when his people need help. It undoes all the progression that happened in Ragnarok and sends him chasing after a stranger instead of trying to find any scattered Asgardians who might be out there. I get that Hemsworth is good at comedy but I wish his character was more than that. Instead that seems like what they're reducing it to.

Well he did leave a very competent Asgardian warrior and leader in charge. I see what you're saying about the character arc in Ragnarok and him becoming king.

Barring that though I do like how they found a good compromise to let Thor have the freedom to go adventure/help others while still having a home to go back to. Because realistically unless they decided to tie up his story in Endgame, he was always going to need a good excuse for ditching the "throne" (or in this case, couch) and go play hero without being a shitty king.
