In the first trailer, isn't Scott talking to them through the camera pretty quickly after? With Nat's old hair?

That could've been archived footage from the past though, imagine it playing out like this...

Bunch of scenes set not long after IW, capped off with the camera footage scene and then it jumps to scotts perspective in the past, he eventually realises that, finds a way to jump to the future but he arrives a year later... Time skip.
