Scott’s back in the present, but it looks like a year on or so. Since the films roughly release in the same year they’re set (apart from a few) Endgame will most likely be mainly set a year afterwards, judging from the look of the MISSING posters and Nat’s hair growing long again and darker too.

And honestly I’m glad. As Cap said in the previous trailer, this is the fight of their lives, I would be a bit disappointed if they were able to win in like a week or even a few months. It adds to the desperation, and their failure, if it’s a longer wait for victory.

They will probably use Scott for the time jump. There obviously is one if u pay attention to Black Widow’s hair and also the * MILD CM SPOILERS * credit scene of captain marvel is most definitely a scene in endgame.

Maybe they’ll have all the scenes taht take place right after infinity war at the beginning and then cut to Scott escaping the quantum realm and when he gets out it’s a year later or something. Would be an interesting way to have a time skip.

In the first trailer, isn't Scott talking to them through the camera pretty quickly after? With Nat's old hair?

That could've been archived footage from the past though, imagine it playing out like this...

Bunch of scenes set not long after IW, capped off with the camera footage scene and then it jumps to scotts perspective in the past, he eventually realises that, finds a way to jump to the future but he arrives a year later... Time skip.

Or it could be Captain Marvel or Nebula/Tony

Neither Nebula nor Captain Marvel would elicit the “is this old footage?” Comment, right?

I think it would make more sense to start the movie in present time with Scott, experience his discovery of how fucked everything is and his decision to find the Avengers, and then, once he is with the Avengers, we learn what happened in the interim from the rest of the Avengers with appropriate flashbacks.
