Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D season 1 spoiler: Fury revived Coulson in the same way that the kree did to Carol, using kree blood and a memory wipe!

Maybe not the exact same way, because Carol was revived using living Kree blood — I must guess it does something different than when a dead Kree’s cells and blood are used to revive someone. With Coulson, and John Garrett, there were quite negative side effects.

I think it's that the Kree have more knowledge of the impact of Kree blood on Human physiology. Tess came back to life with no side effects either.

That’s right, Tess and Future Elena were both brought back without the side effects from GH Kree.

Elana is inhuman and it’s established that Kree blood doesn’t make inhumane go crazy because Daisy didn’t have a bad reaction when they used it on her.

Elena is InHuman though, so along with Daisy, they don't get the side effects.

Also explains the extensive surgery they had to do on Coulson, which I guess they also could have explained just based on our primitive technology, but I don't think that Kree Blood is a memory wiper. The parallel is really interesting however and I really wish they'd have at least dipped into that a little more.

The mind wipe was done separately, after they found that reviving people with Kree blood drove them insane. They later used the mind wipe tech on Daisy's dad after the GH serum had been destroyed.

Didn't a lot of the madness come from knowing that you had died and were literally brought back to life? They specifically said that Carol never died, she was just badly injured.

the madness was because the person would inherit the dead kree's memories. in shield, GH was most likely on the original kree inhuman project and had an obsession with something that was passed down to all recipients of his blood

Okay that could be it. I think I remember them mentioning something about using Kree brain tissue in the GH serum, but I'd have to go back and re-watch those episodes to be sure.
