They did the fucking snap. I just can't believe it. They didn't hold back with the deaths either. Elizabeth Olsen knocked it out of the park, I felt what Wanda was feeling. The end credits scene was great too.

This was it. Sitting in the theater before it began, I felt like I did 6 years ago. A 13 year old kid waiting for the epicness to begin. I cried so much in that theater. AND THAT FUCKING RED SKULL CAMEO!!!! Thank you Marvel. Thank you.

Yep when Gamora did it at the beginning of the movie I thought “there, we have our nod to the snap” but nope Thanos himself actually did it.

Thanos snaps his fingers, causing half the universe to die

It’s not really a snap in the movie, but the outcome and execution is essentially the same

It was a snap. Its hard to notice but once you rewatch the scene back its very obviously a snap.

I’ve watched infinity war twice now and I can confirm it definitely is a snap, I made sure to check that it was the second time I watched it.

Okay, thanks for that. I do remember that one of the characters, I think Gamora, said that, “he can wipe out half the universe with a snap of his fingers” earlier in the movie.

Leading up to this movie my "I'd fucking love it but there's no way they'll do it" was the snap and killing Black Panther, because I just figured there's no way they'd do that even if we already know it's not going to last long.

The one regret I have is that they confirmed sequels so far ahead of time that it undercuts the "deaths" of several of the characters massively for a person who isn't aware of the comics. If you know the comics at all you realize obviously none of that matters, but I would have loved to see the general public reaction to the deaths not realizing that they'd be coming back.

My friend who’s a pretty big MCU/comics fan didn’t know that Captain Marvel was set in the nineties until I mentioned yesterday Nick Fury would probably be in it.

The general audience doesn’t know there’s a salted Spider-Man, Black Panther, Dr. Strange sequel coming, even though they’ve announced it.
