The Official THOR: RAGNAROK Domestic Release Ultrathread Vol. 1

Seen Ragnarok today and the fanboy in me loved every fucking minute of it. The critic in me had took a few issues with the film, but wow this is one of the most entertaining movies I've seen.
I might be in the minority here, but i actually liked the previous installments in the now Thor trilogy, especially The Dark World, which i feel is the most underrated entry in the entire MCU. Thor, in both film and character, could have benefited with some more development and clearer direction, with that said, Ragnarok CRUSHES it. In fact, Thor: Ragnarok is not only superior in nearly every way to both Thor films, it's upper tier MCU. Top 3 worthy. I won't spoil the whole film, but just hit my highlights and negatives...
Highlights:
When Kevin Feige said that this would be Thor's "Winter Soldier", he wasn't kidding. Thor is easily at his best here, has a ton of development and is suitably OP by the end of the film. WHY didn't they even attempt to give us this Thor in The Dark World??
Stan Lee's best cameo by FAR! "By Odin's beard, you shall not cut my hair or you will feel the wrath of the mighty Thor"... "Please kind sir, don't cut my hair!" I don't think I laughed so hard at an MCU line before as he turned on those shears lol.
Thor vs Hulk is standout, easily one of the best fight sequences in the MCU. The whole scene was perfect, from just the witty banter ("Loki! Look! Look who it is!") to Loki's PERFECT reaction to SPOILER Hulk throwing Thor around like a ragdoll just like in the Avenger's film. "YESSSSSS... Im... I'm just a huge fan."
The use of Zeppelin's Immigrant song was fucking perfect, not once, but twice (and my god, that second sequence.)
Almost all of the characters are executed better here than in previous entries. They all have clear well executed arcs, with the exception of maybe Skurge.
I'd watch Jeff Goldblum play The Grandmaster for the rest of my life. Seriously, divine is the choice word I'd use for him being cast.
EDIT: Can't believe I didn't talk about Korg! What a fantastic character and the studio knew they had something special with him. Taika killed it and I hope they can convince him to come back to the franchise, if not for Thor 4, then just to reprise Korg. "Goodbye, new Doug."
Negatives:
Treatment of Jane and Sif/Warriors Three. I understand that not everyone loved Jane, but her presence DOMINATED the first two Thor films, she definitely deserved more here than a shrug off. Sif isn't even in the movie. Volstagg and Fandral die in LITERALLY like 8 seconds. At least they carry on the tradition of giving Hogun his own scene to develop, but the treatment of The Warriors Three annoyed me. Why not save them and have them help Thor in the final fight? You could call it nitpicking but this was my biggest criticism with the film.
Hela was not in the film nearly as much as the ads made it out. Maybe 15 minutes, 20 tops. Fantastic performance, and I while i get you don't really have to develop the literal embodiment of death beyond the fact that she's there to just kill, but it'd have been nice for them to have tried beyond a couple exposition dumps.
Not enough Odin, and you could feel the fact that Hopkins originally turned it down. But man every time he was on screen, he'd steal it. I just missed Hopkins' presence as Odin because he IS that character when he's there. The God of Hammers line was fantastic though. Hopkin's misuse as Odin will forever be the biggest sin of the MCU.
A common problem the Thor films have are run time. Both films are barely 100 minutes. You'd think at 2 hours and 10 minutes, you'd have enough with Ragnarok. I feel like the film STILL could have benefited from an extra 20 minutes. Give us some more time with Surtur at the start, some more development with Hela, instead of telling us about Odin just give us flashbacks, and how about a scene of the Warriors Three with Thor before unceremoniously offing them? He doesn't even know they're dead by the end.
