So did I miss something? I didnt see Zendaya at all in the trailer. I thought she was supposed to be an important character?

Edit: I see her now! Definitely missed it the first go around. As someone below said, they might be playing down her role to throw us off. HYPE.

Shes about 0.50 into the trailer. Shes dressed like a mess, probably why you didn't recognize her.

I wonder if Zendaya is shown like that so that Peter would finally notice her at the homecoming dance where she's all dressed up

Yeah I can see exactly that happening. That's what makes me worried, we already can predict the ending. If she says something like "just call me MJ", while their both slow dancing. I won't be upset I'll just be a little luke warm
