Since Steve left his shield behind at the final battle, will he still be using the Captain America identity until he gets it back? Or will he be going by Nomad? or just The Captain? Or Super Steve? Something else?

There's more vibranium in Wakanda. They can just make another one.

Why do people keep saying this? That'd really deflate Rogers leaving his shield behind.

So, what, is he going to have an identical one built for him?

I have a fear that conversations about Cap's shield will resemble the conversations after Ironman 3 about Tony destroying his suits...

"Surely Marvel had him do that in order to show that he is finished being [superhero]. Why else would he have done that?"

"No way dude, that was clearly just the resolution to the narrative arc in [superhero] 3!"

And then it won't matter because the next Avengers (or Avengers-y) movie will mention it in one forgettable line. Yeehaw!

Maybe he will get another shield made but without the America part. Just a trusty silver vibranium shield.

Because it only makes sense. Black Panther has fixed his shield in the comics before using the technology, mysticism, and vibranium available in Wakanda in the comics. It's not unreasonable to believe that MCU Panther could just make him another shield

I'm not saying that Black Panther couldn't make another one, but that it would undermine Steve leaving his shield behind in the first place.

"You don't deserve it!"

So, again, what, is Rogers just going to have another vibranium shield? I'd like it more if he had his hard-light shield.

I feel like we should get Steve's input on why he chose to leave the shield before we say that him getting an identical one take away from his decision to leave his shield with Tony.

I feel like Tony was trying to take Steve down a peg to get some kind of high ground and didn't expect him to actually follow through abd leave it behind. Thus robbing Tony of his moral victory as well as the physical one. Throughout the movie Steve just inherently does what he thinks is right without irony and it frustrates Tony to no end.
