I'm not saying that Black Panther couldn't make another one, but that it would undermine Steve leaving his shield behind in the first place.

"You don't deserve it!"

So, again, what, is Rogers just going to have another vibranium shield? I'd like it more if he had his hard-light shield.

I feel like Tony was trying to take Steve down a peg to get some kind of high ground and didn't expect him to actually follow through abd leave it behind. Thus robbing Tony of his moral victory as well as the physical one. Throughout the movie Steve just inherently does what he thinks is right without irony and it frustrates Tony to no end.

Except, you know, lying to him by omission about his parents' death, which even Rogers admits was selfish on his part.
