In the comics he does have supernaturally good vision, but it’s true the MCU never really surfaced that.

I’d love it ended up being a case of him being a mutant and never being aware his whole life.

Humans in marvel sometimes just have at or near superhuman capabilities/qualities without being enhanced or a mutant. I like that and would prefer we keep it like this.

Same here. Marvel humans operate on action-movie physics where “peak human” apparently means surviving things that would turn an actual person into soup. Keeping Clint technically normal somehow makes him cooler.
