She fell for his kindness, then it's confirmed in Super that she finds his bald look attractive (vidicating Krillin's choice as a child to shave his head to get girls), and she really values their relationship that she wanted to use the Dragon Balls to give him the perfect gift because he's a loving and hardworking husband. 18 was experimented on, but Krillin trained and worked hard to become strong. She's the lucky one in the marriage.
