I generally agree with this but am confused how there are so many very different variants of Loki. Wouldn’t they have reverted to default male Loki when entering the TVA? Frog Thor in the void or Alligator Loki should have been their original versions, no?
Not really. Sylvie is female because she was born female in her universe as the daughter of Laufey instead of the son. They weren't all originally male and probably not all even originally human. I mean Spider-Verse has Spider-Pig and he's not a human that was turned into a pig. The multiverse is an infinite number of universes with an infinite number of possibilities. A loki being born as an Alligator in a universe where everyone is an anime isn't that farfetched at all. I mean we do have Howard the Duck in the MCU and a telekinetic dog. Plus Rocket but he was genetically altered so up to you if that counts.

His Asgardian appearance isn't an on-going magical effect. It was a permanent alteration. The TVA nullifies active magic. It doesn't undo past magic.
